This is a really cool story. It definitely fills a hole that the show never addressed. For all her supposed shallowness I've always been a little moved by the scene where Katy grabs Jim's tie through her car window and looks at him so affectionately, and I think she didn't really get a fair shake, so you gave her a little well-deserved rounding out. Nice job!

I like that we (the audience and Katy) got a little more closure here. While I like that Jim was a real dick to Katy (his anguish was palpable and it made it a very real moment), I think he would feel bad and try to fix it, at least a little bit. Great idea, fabulous execution!
