This story is just breaking my heart, in all the right ways. I loved how he carried the image of Pam's postcard w/ him everywhere. Like he was carrying Pam's heart w/ him. Keeping in character w/ Jim, I loved how he took a chance by replying w/ the post-it. The boy is always putting himself out there for her. I think responding to her using HER card was a great way of her seeing it.
Author's Response:
Alamos, totally start to love getting your reviews. I probably was putting myself into Jim's shoes a bit, or Jim into my shoes, whatever. Because I've seen some secrets that mean a lot to me, and have saved them, and think of them often. And none were as close to the significance of the wedding one!
With the post it, its like, I figured Jim needed to do something. But I just don't think he was ready to call or take that big of a chance (ie what if it really wasn't Pam's card, and he called her on her honeymoon!), so the return secret would put the ball back in her court so to speak. And I also figured Jim would reply using her card. I honestly never hought of it another way.

OUTSTANDING! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE JIM'S RESPONSE! I can't wait to find out what Pam does when she sees it!
Author's Response:
Oh, thank you SO much. I seriously spent forever on Jim's Postcard (and Pam's for that matter) so it means a lot that its going over well.
And, spoiler alert - Pam goes into a homicidal rage when she sees the postcard, and kills the entire office, and then frolics off to Stamford and they live happily ever after.
Or not :)

after he sees Pam’s card, and is like whoa
Haha I think this should be your 'bad-fic' version ;) Love it!
Not only do I love Jim's return postcard but also that 'imagine my surprise' one. I hadn't seen that one before! :) You, my dear, are amazing. I am still waiting for more........
Also this was a great break from the book I was reading... The Encyclopedia of Serial Killers. It was enthralling!!
OK I'm done. I've said too much. Summary: Awesome blossom.
Author's Response:
Pam sends a card about the wedding. Jim sees it and is like whoa. Jim sends in a card. Pam will be like whoa. Then they will be happy. Sound bad enough?
Imagine My Surprise was on the site at one point. I had it saved because I kind of loved it. And so it totally fit in with this chaper.
And serial killers are fascinatig. I am reading about vampires. Damn you, it is good!

Oh Emily. You've got me hooked. I love how he just knows it's from her. Also - very clever writing "it's not" on the postcard she sent in. Perfect.
Also, I believe somewhere, at one time, Paul Lieberstein said that they decided Jim never went to Australia because he was heartbroken and he moved to Stamford. So, you're in the clear there ;)
Author's Response:
Haha, yes! I figure Jim would know the postcard was from her. Besides the fact that that is really the only way this story would work, I decided it would be true in real life. And so glad that the it's not worked. I seriously spent over a day working on Pam's and Jim's postcards, so, yeah, that means a lot.
And perfect, I totally didn't know/remember about Paul L talking about Australia, so so glad that it worked out. I mean, wait, I totally knew, I just added that chapter note because... um, I wanted to make people think I didn't know. Yeah, that was it ;)
Thanks again for the review

I can definitely see Pam experiencing a feeling of freedom and catharsis by sending in that secret. I eagerly await the return of Jim's POV and see where you take this!
Author's Response:
I totally relate, because I sent off a secret. And there will be more of this story (my sending secret story) if I remember when it relates to a later chapter.
Oh, and spoiler alert - Jim and Pam become face eating monsters. It happens in the next chapter. Wait and see.

You do a lot with a teensy chapter! Still loving this story!
Author's Response: I'm glad you don't mind the shortness of it. I try to make a lot happen in a few words, so glad it works!

I'm not reading WIPs. So why did I click on your link? Who knows? It's nebulose. And it sucked me in, EmilyHalpert! These are nice short chapters, though; I should be able to keep up with this one! :)
It's a really good story, EH! :) Nice job so far, and I'll favorite and click when I get a notice. These secrets are cool. If there's a website like that, I'm not going to go to it. I know I'd be there forever. ;)
Author's Response:
Subliminal mind control. I made you read it. I shy away from WIPs also, so I understand, but I am so glad you decided to read mine.
And PostSecret is way to addicting. I've been going for like three years or something.Every Sunday its like New Secrets Time!

Friday night update, love it. I have the feeling that Jim is going to see the postcards. The tone of this chapter is so still, quiet and sad. I think it fits exactly the way Pam would be feeling right after. I think it's totally in character with Pam to keep her secrets to herself. That's why the postcard thing works because it is so anonymous. So Pam.
Author's Response:
Friday Night is for fic. Pity the people who have real lives and don't realize that.
The thing I love abou PS is it is anonymous, so you still feel you ave a secret all to yourself, but, you still feel better because you've said it outloud.
I love your reviews and that you are still enjoying this!

I am really enjoying this story, Emily! PostSecret is such an interesting website; this is a great idea for a story. Keep up the good work.
Author's Response: After a crazy day at work, it was so nice to have a MA review. Thanks for the review. I'm so glad you are enjoying it.

Yay ch3! This makes me almost as happy as a catchpenny concert! Hey, I said almost! Hehe Love it. When will I be getting more missy? Hmm? Hmm? Peer pressure works :)
PS I have loads to tell you!
Author's Response:
Shesh, little miss begger. Its not as if you haven' read the next chapter. :)
I'm relenting to peer pressure, it should be up soon

I totally remembered the sickness postcard, but I never saw that wedding postcard. What a refreshingly new and interesting idea! :)
Author's Response:
Hehe, well, the wedding postcard was one I made myself, so, that would be why you don't recognize it. But, I'm glad it looked realistic enough.
So glad you are enjoying this new take on post-casino night!

oh I love this story. I just wish the chapters were longer. Either way. Fantastic chapter!
Author's Response: So glad. I know the chapters are short, I am just not good at writin longer. About a page is generally my limit!

Loved the last few chapters...can't wait for more :)
Author's Response: So glad you are enjoyin. I'm just about to post the next chapter!

This is such an interesting approach to a fic. Thank gosh for something new! I like this idea and can't wait for more.
Author's Response:
So glad you are nejoying this and that it seems new. So many post Casino Nights, and so this is my interpretation (wish!)
Thanks for the review

Awhhh....you brought a lump to my throat. I think you've captured Pam's feelings so well. I look forward to the next chapter. Keep up the GOOD work!
Author's Response: Aww, so glad it moved you and that it seemed to fit Pam post Casino Night. It really was such an emotional ime for the two fo them both, and trying to capture it is difficult. I appreciate the comment!

I am just adoring this peek at how something as simple as an internet art project could truly affect someone's future. It's completely believable that seeing these secrets would be precisely what Pam needed to set her in motion down a path she had been trying to pretend she could avoid.
Author's Response:
It is amazing that something that small can really affect it. I already know I made a friend based on PostSecret, and just, it may be small, and I am sure that nothing as big this has happened to me. But small things can make big changes.
I figured Pam needed a catalyst, and PS may have just been it.

Love this story! Original spin on the aftermath of Casino Night. :)
Author's Response: Thanks, with all the post Casino Night stories, its hard to find a different angle, so glad this is unique.

Nice... another update. These postcards are killing me. I am glad that you choose to write the break up scene between Roy and Pam simple, yet powerful: There was talking, yelling, crying, screaming. There were times Pam wanted to take it back, take the easy way and stay with Roy.
Author's Response:
Yep, I really am going to try to keep the updates regular. Hopefully I can get another one up tomorrow before work.
Thanks so much for your comment about the break up scene. I really wasn't sure how to write that, as it seemed so unlike the Pam we saw in Season Two, Casino Night. The one who said she was staying with Roy. I didn't want either side to really be a loser, both of them I am sure were upset about the loss of he relationship, and I am sure it was hard on both of hem

Another good one, EH!
Author's Response: Thanks NanReg

Great Job!
I love this look at how Pam breaks it off with Roy. I can see her wanting to take it back and take the easy road. But you hit it dead on, because she knew she didn't love him and for the first time she was making a choice for herself.
Author's Response: Thanks. I am so glad that the break up seemed reasonable, I was worried about that. I am so glad that you enjoyed it and took the time to review. Means a lot.

This is great. I could see Jim reading post secret as something to do to pass the time while he was at work with no Pam to keep him company.
Author's Response: Thanks so much. I'm glad that seems reasonable, because I mostly know girls who read PostSecret, so the fact that Jim reading it is believable, I like :)

Aw! Once again, great chapter. Update soon!

I love PostSecret. My friend and I spend one afternoon in a bookstore reading through all of his books. The secrets are so touching. I love that you have incorporated the two so perfectly. Fantastic chapter.
Author's Response: I love looking through the books. I spent a lo of time looking throuh them for this story and they are so mesmermizing. I'm glad you like the way the secrets are being encorporated.
Thaks for the review

I adore PostSecret! It has kept me entertained many a slow work day, and I think this story is going to do the same! I can't wait to see where you take this. Great idea and good work!
Author's Response: I hope it will keep you entertained! Glad your enjoying it and thanks for the review :)
