Another really good chapter, I felt like the hospital scenes were pretty believable and realistic.
Too bad Pam can't go with Jim, because I would LOVE to see Jam in LA.
Oh well....
Please update soon!!!
Author's Response: Thank you! The hospital scene was a bit challenging (thank goodness EmilyHalpert knows about all that medicine-y stuff), but I'm glad it came across as realistic. And I did ponder them going to LA together, but then I realized I'd have to write about another town I know nothing about, lol. We might still get to see some of Jim in the LA setting, but nothing too extensive. Thanks again; really glad you liked it!!

i love this! i live in Philly and i'm guessing you're from here too, what with the mentioning of Rittenhouse and Spruce Street and Kensington! awesome story, too (:
Author's Response: Thank you! I don't actually live in Philly, but I've done a ton of Wikipedia searches, and have a few friends/readers from Philly who are very graciously helping me with this story. I'm so glad you like it, and I'm always open for input if you have a good idea of where they could go on a date or something! Thanks again!!

You do know how to end a chapter. ;) Your Roy is kind of menancing and I'm actually a little worried. Well done! Don't leave us hanging too long...I think my imagination is working a bit overtime. I don't think he'll do what I'm thinking he'll do...so you need to fill in the blanks! :)
Author's Response: Thank you!! I wouldn't worry too much about Roy; although he does have the potential to do some damage, I don't foresee him doing anything too violent. Glad you liked it, and that you're looking forward to the next chapter!!rn

I'm grinning from ear to ear, DA-S. You're such a sweetie. It's fun being one of your Philly "sources." I sure am relieved that Jim hasn't lost his winning touch! Once again, great job carrying over the little details that we know into this story. And now we have a little drama to look forward to!
Author's Response: No, thank you!! You have been so helpful and loyal in reviewing, and I'm really glad you're enjoying the story. There will be plenty of drama to come in the next chapter, so be on the lookout for it!!

DAS, I'm totally digging this story. Sorry I haven't commented until now, but I absolutely love it! I have to admit, I'm not usually a fan of AU, but this definitely ranks right up there in one of the best ones I've read. The characters are spot-on in their "other" roles. I've been waiting for something dramatic with Roy to happen, so please don't delay the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! I'm really glad you were compelled to review; it's always nice hearing from new readers! I know what you mean, I'm not a huge fan of AU either (mostly because a lot of the AU plots are done over and over again), so I'm glad my story is different enough for you to enjoy. Thanks so much again, and look for an update soon!

Who's blushing, I am....Great chapter and thanks for the shout out. I wish you had a pic of penn's landing at night, it looks so different, that bridge lights up and it's quite the scene. Excellent work my friend.
Author's Response: Thank you!! I know, I wish I could've found a good one at night, but I really like the pic I found. I could easily picture them on that sidewalk sharing a kiss, so I decided that was better than searching high and low for a nighttime one. Thanks so much again, for everything!!!

I love this story so much! I love how you incorporated aspects from the show into the plot but alter them so that they aren't exact. Can't wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm so glad you're catching all of those; it's fun to write about the references we all know and love in different ways. Really glad you enjoyed it; thanks again!!

Oh, no! Oh, no! Oh, no! Roy's gonna beat the crap out of him. Then Pam will make him all better. Right???
Author's Response: Don't worry! I'm sure whatever happens, Pam will be there. ;) Glad I'm keeping you on the edge of your seat!

Another Awesome Chapter!!!! I Absolutely love the way you did the whole sixers game!!!!! Another awesome chapter for dialogue, and I think you hit Roy's reaction absolutely perfect, espeacially with the warehouse guys!!
I can't wait to see Roy confront Jim next chapter!
Keep up the good work!!
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! I'm glad you liked the way I handled those two scenes; they gave me the toughest time when I was writing them. Especially the basketball scene, because my knowledge of basketball is not so much. :D Thanks again!!!

I haven't done much with PAFA yet in Gifts but I did use it in some detail in a story a group of us posted last year, 1st Dates, 1st Days - Northern Attacking the Hiatus. Hey, that's pretty nifty! When you copy the title from your stories list it looks like it comes over as a hyperlink. I wonder if it will really work.
Anyway, waiting for the next chapter! I'm liking your lucky Jim!
Author's Response: It definitely showed up as a link! Very handy. :D So glad you're enjoying it!rn

I've been reading and enjoying this story tremendously! I just put 2 & 2 together and noticed that you have Pam working as the website manager for PAFA, while in my story (Gifts) I have her attending their 4 year certificate program. Kinda funny! Have you been there? It's such a great museum!
I'm very curious to find out if Roy is the one Sixers fan who looks at the Arts and Entertainment section. But maybe he won't have to. Maybe the Inquirer will run a picture in the Sports section that features Jim ... with Pam alongside.
Author's Response: Thank you!! I haven't actually been to PAFA (I discovered it through Wikipedia), but now that I know so much about it I wanna go! And I should definitely read your story; it will be cool to see how you're using it as a setting for her development. As for Roy... I can't say what happens for sure, but you better believe he'll find out about it somehow! So glad you're enjoying it, and thanks again!!

I'm so glad I found this fic!!!!
I think my favorite thing about is the concept of 'lucky jim.' Because when you think about it, Jim is such a nice, laid back, funny guy, that it seems like everytime he talks to someone it puts them in a good mood, which makes it seemingly believable that he could contribute to their productivity.
The other thing that makes this click for me is the dialougue. I find a lot of good fics on this sight that are ruined by dialogue that I have a hard time believing, or I find out of character. I love how you reference past episodes, like in the poker game, to make it feel very beleivable!!!!
AWESOME WORK!!!!! KEEP IT UP!!!!
Author's Response: Thank you so much!!!! I never thought about that "lucky Jim" parallel, but it's totally true!! You are wonderful for pointing that out! And I also really strive to keep the dialogue in character, and use the references to the show to my advantage, so I'm really glad it's paying off. So glad you're enjoying it, and thanks again for the review!!

So happy to have you back, DA-S, and with such a fun chapter! With each update, I'm just amazed at your knack of inserting these characters into this alternate universe so successfully--even Packer! I only wish we could see the photo of Jim, Pam and Kelly : )
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! Yes, I was very excited when I realized I could include Packer successfully. And I would've tried to create that photo except I am no good at Photoshop. I don't even know where the picture(s) would come from to Photoshop into it. Guess you'll just have to use your imagination. :D Thanks again!!!

I like how you got Pam to end it right away with Roy...and seriously how clueless Roy is not even suspecting Jim when he was right there in the apartment.
I enjoyed your fade to black after the last chapter and how you got Jim and Pam to interact after their night together. Believable dialogue not sappy at all.
There's a really great flow to your story. As always, loving it!
Author's Response: Thanks so much!! I said this in another review response, but I'll say it here too cause it bears repeating: in my mind, Roy thinks that Pam's whole lifestyle is just an act and she isn't really good enough to be able to get a "celebrity" like Jim. And because of this, he thinks it's totally innocent between them, and even thinks maybe Jim's taking pity on her? I know I've never explicitly said any of this, but that's my backstory and I'm stickin to it!rnrnI'm really glad you think the dialogue is believable and the flow is good. I struggled with this chapter to get it just right, and it sounds like it paid off! Thanks so much again for the review!!

It's the line about effectively ruining our friendship...from Friends...when Monica and Chandler hook up in London. Do I get my cool points now!?!? Nice chapter BTW. I really liked it! :)
Author's Response: You definitely got your cool points!! Nice job! I'm so glad you liked the chapter!

Well, considering I watch those DVDs just as much as I watch The Office... and that I could hold conversations just quoting those two shows... yeah, I kind of could totally see it. I still love it though. And it really works.
Anyways, I've been waitin impatiently to read this story and see how you took my suggestions. It works wonderfully. Some small differences but I think it just works and makes me smile and laugh.
And I gave up on quoting my favorite lines. Cause my stomach is growing. but I don't have a Jim to eat with. I do have a cute puppy, so that works.
Author's Response: Thank you! Yeah, your suggestions definitely helped me find what I was really trying to say, and I really appreciate you helping me figure all of it out. And cute puppies are definitely almost as good a Jim. ;) Thanks so much again!!!

What a lovely new chapter, I was going to email you today and bug you about it, hope your vacation was nice. Looking forward to more. Loved the Bunny Slippers? Would laugh forever if I ever seen someone in actual Bunny Slippers, and my favorite of the chapter:
“Shh,” he whispered. “This is a dream, Pam. And if I open my eyes you’re going to disappear.”
*sigh*
Author's Response: Thank you!! My vacation was very nice; busy, but a lot of fun. :D And that line is my favorite too!! It gives me warm fuzzies. I am so glad you liked it, and for their next date I'm thinking about taking them to one of those clubs you mentioned. If you have a preference between TLA and the Troc, I'd love to hear it! Thanks so much again!!!

Love. This. Story. Happy they're together and not feeling too awkward. SOOO happy she dumped Roy : )
Author's Response: Thanks so much!! I'm glad she dumped Roy too. Remember in chapter six when they said they would be going to Alma de Cuba "next time"? Yeah, might need your help with the next time. ;) Expect an email from me soon. Thank you so much again!!
