Totally breakin my heart here, just beautiful. Pam please haul ass to Jim's after you open that teapot! And I can't wait to find out what she wrote, I'm assuming he did not put that ever mysterious Christmas card of Love in that box though, since he's leaving....Can't wait for more. Write, Write, Write!
Author's Response: Well you'll see a variation of the Christmas card of love, but I hope it doesn't disappoint. Thanks for reading and reviewing, iwantphillyjim - you'll be seeing an update tonight or in the morning :)

Oh! Break my heart why don't you! Please say more will come soon!
Author's Response: More will come soon. Either tonight or Monday morning! Thanks, jinxcoke.

Wait a second... a great story, AND consistently updated?! Be still, my heart!
(aka "love it, can't wait for more!")
Author's Response: Yes, the updates should be pretty quick. Daily until it's done - and 11 chapters. Possibly 12 if I write an epilogue. Thanks for reading and reviewing The Temp - I'm glad you're enjoying it.

I really like this story! I can't wait for more chapters! Such an interesting idea and you write it so well! Nice job!
Author's Response: Hi jinxcoke! I'm so happy that you're enjoying this and don't worry the updates should be pretty much daily until it's all posted. Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Oh, this is so sad. I wish the Pam of this time had been strong enough to be honest about her feelings. I'm interested to see where this will go!
Author's Response: Oh I hear ya, Semby. If Pam had been honest early on we would have had a much different outcome for S3, but on a positive note it does make you appreciate their story a little more when you see how far they've come. Can you tell I've put way too much thought into the lives of these fictional characters? :) Thanks for reading and reviewing!

With all the happy!Jam fic out there it's hard to remember the gut wrenching angst of Season 2 but this chapter really nailed that. I'm glad you're writing this. I love fics that explore the what-ifs? that didn't happen instead of just rehashing different versions of what did.
Author's Response:
Hello toomeyism! I don't think I've seen your name here before so, welcome! It's nice to hear from you. I'm glad you feel I hit it home with the angst here. I've found that angst can get out of hand quickly if you're not careful, so I'm happy that it strikes the right balance with you.
It's hard to find territory that hasn't already been covered in regards to the Jim/Pam story, and so I was really eager to get working on this because I think it could be interesting. I hope you keep reading, and thanks for taking the time to review.

gahhh! I had this idea like two days ago! Anyway, I'm really thankful I didn't actually write any of it, because it wouldn't have been as good as this, quite frankly. It's a perfect look into Jim and Pam's heads, mid-S2. I can't wait to see what happens when he actually goes to Maryland. I'm definitely excited to read more!
Author's Response: Hi bigtunette! Thank you for the lovely review. This idea had been bouncing around for so long and I think for my sanity I needed to get it out on paper. I knew it would only be a matter of time before someone else tackled this territory. I'm glad you like it, and I hope you keep reading! Thanks for the kind review.

This just perfectly telegraphs the S2 angst, kells. The scene in Jim's bedroom dovetails so well with what we saw in ES - it just flowed seamlessly from it. Her jealousy at the pic on his dresser, of him with another girl, is a great detail - her reaction sums up the equivocation we know she had to have been doing at that point. Really looking forward to seeing where you go with the AU part of this.
Author's Response: Hello my friend! I should tell you that a review from you always makes me so happy. I'm glad you feel the transition from what we saw, to my version was seamless. I honestly always worry about incorporating actual scenes from episodes and I mostly shy away from it, and so I'm relieved to know you feel it worked well here. In the next chapter we'll fully veer off into AU territory, and I'm excited. Thanks for reading and reviewing, as always, Colette.

I am loving this, very nice writing and a cool premise. Not one has been done from this angle I think.
Author's Response: Thanks iwantphillyjim! I'm glad you feel it's a fresh idea. It's hard to come up with something that no one else has written about before, and so I was excited when this popped up in my head a while back. Glad you're enjoying it!

oh! please make the update tonight, I'm loving this story, can't wait for more!
Author's Response:
Hi bowie-in-space! Is that a Flight of the Conchords reference?
I'm not too sure if there will be an update tonight, but then again last night a bout of insomnia kept me up until 4am writing, so you never know. No worries though - it will be soon as long as MTT keeps cooperating with me :) Thanks for reading and reviewing - I'm glad you're enjoying this.

I think you have done a great job of describing Jim's roller coaster of emotions w/ Pam in Season 2. It's so sad to him want so much more from her, only to have it crushed.
It is so great that this story is done.
Author's Response:
Hi Alamos! Thank you. I felt like I kind of needed to push Jim a little in this story because I wanted it to be plausible that he would leave so much earlier in S2 than he actually did.
And yes, this story is done and I should be updating daily for until it's all posted! Thanks for reading and reviewing.

I'm glad to hear that the updates on this one will be coming quickly. I'm really looking forward to reading it. I think you're doing a particularly nice job with S2 hardcore crush Jim.
Author's Response: Thank you, Talkative. I really enjoy reading your stories so it's a pleasure to hear from you. I should be updating pretty fast - at least daily - on this one. Thanks for reading and reviewing :)

This is great stuff, kells. I love the premise--which, amazingly, I don't think I've ever seen before--and you're inside their heads perfectly. I'll be really looking forward to updates of this one.
Author's Response: thank you so much, brokenloon. It's so good to hear from you. I'm a big fan of your writing and so it's awesome to get such a nice review from you. I've had this idea in my head for what feels like forever, and so I'm hoping it will be a relief to get it all out finally, lol. I'll be updating pretty quickly - at least one more chapter later today and over the next few days. It's all written already, just tweaking here and there. Thanks again for reading and reviewing!
