Well. Didn't think I was going to be sold on this. I am now. Well done, Moxie. (For the record, Pam suggesting lupus was the tipping point.)

They really do bring all the pain upon themselves, don't they? Ah, if only House had actually crossed over on the show to kick their asses...

i love it! these last two chapters were perfect. i love the resolution and that it happened quickly, yet not perfectly. leaving it open ended is wonderful too. i'm assuming you're not writing an epilogue type thing? I think it's pretty incredible as is. anyway, i love love love it. great job!

Another triumph! Seriously, moxie, you've got it going on. Excellent characterization, inventive plot, laugh-out-loud dialog, and the ability to channel and entirely different show's main character- this is insanely complex, and you made it look effortless. I applaud you, as always. And also, *squee!* breakfast!!! Yay.

Well, I just read it in one-go and was really gutted that it had to end!
I loved every bit of it, and loved the supernatural element of it. It made it different and interesting and strangely believable. Well, if it had to happen, I'd like to think it would happen that way :P You make brilliant stories and I've been reading fanfics on here for far too long without commenting, due to the lack of an account... but after reading this guilt overwhelmed me and I HAD to create to applaud you on such a brill fic. Loved it to bits, and I especially love that Jim didn't just jump back in her arms. It was very true to House too, as it never does go right first time around. :P
Brilliant, I can't wait to read another one of your fics.

Thank you so much for this wonderful story. Jim really had some major walls built up. I'm glad he was able to crack enough to let Pam back in. I would love a continuation of this somehow!

You know how much I love this story and I am so sad to see it end. But what an end. These two...much too stubborn for their own good. Good thing House is even more stubborn. Thank you for sharing.

So glad you finished that. Characterizations were great, and it felt pretty real. Loved it.

So glad you finished, Moxie. Great job with Pam, Jim AND House. This story was such fun!

Bwah! The detailing! (Guess House didn't know Jim has had so many different cars). I like that Pam took matters back into her own hands. Go FNB.

That was brill, an excellent read!
I'm a big fan of House and can I just say you were absolutely fantastic in writing his character and personality, brilliant!
On the story itself, I think Pam reacted exactly the way you expected her to have, but I feel Jim was slightly OOC, I can't imagine him acting the way he did.
If you think about it, just the week before "Ben Franklin" in "Back From Vacation" ,he's admitted he still has feelings for Pam, surely more than anything he wants her to feel the same way. At this point in time his relationship isn't that strong with Karen so it shouldn't really affect him so much. Ok Pam does drop a lot in on him at once, but if you think about it, she did the same on Beach Day, in front of all of their co-workers and Jims girlfriend, when Jim was much closer to moving on and actually leaving again, surely he'd have been angrier there on beach day? But he wasn't, he was quite understanding, and I just can't imagine him reacting this way.
Also the week after at Phylis' wedding, when the camera crew ask him what he would think if Pam was interested, he seems to light up at the possibility, so if Pam had told him her feelings like she did in this fic, I can't see him acting like such a jerk. I don't know, its the only minor aspect of the fic that bugged me, but I still loved it, House made me laugh so much he was brilliant, especially with Jim.
I can't wait for more of your stories!
Author's Response: Thanks so much for your review, Noodles - I appreciate your comments. My thoughts on what you've said regarding Jim are such: I agree that perhaps he would have been more open to Pam's confession - and indeed by the next morning was pretty much on the road to her - but the interference of House put him on serious defense. Besides not being sure of the relationship between House and Pam, the fact that Jim is such a private person means to me that having some strange guy talking so bluntly about such things is the fastest way to make Jim want to flee. I think the fact that he still broke up with Karen the day after Pam told him says volumes for his reaction, deep down. I think perhaps I could have made the distinction a little better that his negativity was House-related more than Pam-related. But I'm super glad you liked my version of House - he's just the best!

Hee! I love that Jim doesn't know who House is. The scene at the gas station, with the pill popping, was perfect. I could absolutely visualize House on his bike.

Jim is in need of some serious slapping. Glad to see House cooperate! Can't wait for more.

There's still something insanely entertaining about this premise - and the way you tell the story.(May actually be my fave of yours.) I love House figuratively slapping Jim upside his head, once he'd convinced himself Pam had pulled a 180. And I love even more that Pam just heard knock on her door. Make her answer it soon! (Or I'll send House to haunt your dreams;-)

I have been following this story and really enjoy it. I can't wait to see how it all ends!

I was so happy to see this updated. I love House giving Jim a hard time now - he needed it just as badly. I love how Jim has conflicting emotions - so totally the Jim we knew back then. I can't wait for more, as usual. I'm greedy like that :)

Yay, House is back, and harassing one Jim Halpert. I think you beautifully capture Jim's season 3 see-saw, between thawing a bit toward Pam to completely freezing her out. He couldn't stand not to have her in his life, but he couldn't stand to have her around, either. Love!
Date: September 04, 2008 04:37 am Title: Chapter 11
Halpert definitely needed a good kick in the ass and, apparently, House was just the man for the job. I'm glad we got this little glimpse into what was going through Jim's mind after Pam's confession to him. That boy is his worst enemy sometimes, eh? Looking quite forward to the next chapter. No pressure :-P
Date: September 03, 2008 08:13 pm Title: Chapter 11
That's it, House. Knock some sense into that boy and get him thinking. I can't wait for the two of them to discuss the medical friend they have in common. :)

Wow. Just wow. S3 PodPerson!Jim, with his head tucked firmly in his ass. (Such a shame to ruin such a nice one, too.)
And who knew Karen had it in her to be 'nice' to Jim? Of course, this explains it to a tee: He knew exactly what was expected from him to keep her happy. Written like a true cynic, Mox.
You know I love all the House details, what a sarcastic pain in the ass he is, complete with punching elevator buttons with his cane and general smart-assery.

Well I, like Pam, missed House a bit here, but you more than made up for it with the quiet, intense sadness throughout. Driving by his house, curling up with tea, just being regretful...it's a heartbreaking image. But dawn breaks and there's a tap at the door. It's so wonderfully hopeful.

Oh no! You ended the chapter with that? This wait is going to kill me...
Fun story, I have really enjoyed it so far.
