I'm truly ashamed of myself because I've been reading all the updates and enjoying them but I haven't been reviewing properly.
I am really enjoying this. I love how they are both using this time before the wedding to reflect back. Some of these things are hard for me to think about, so I can just imagine how difficult it is for them to remember it! Phyllis' wedding was a horrible day...

Wow. This chapter was awesome. I liked the conversation between Pam and Jim before he went off to dance with Karen, and you also captured Jim's feelings on that night well, you could see why he was left heartbroken again

Author's Response: To this day it is hard for me to watch this episode. The look on Jim's face when he is dancing with Karen, and then later when Roy leaves-gives me physical pain. Thanks for the review.

I really liked this chapter. What a great lead up to the dancing scene in the wedding. And you're so right about those earlier episodes...it's pure pain to revisit them, even now. I tried to watch Casino Night the other day and I had to literally skip Jim's confession cause my stomach couldn't take it.

I've been reading this all along and realized I haven't reviewed yet.
This is heartwrenching and wonderful all at once. It's horrible to go through the angst with them but then we get the gorgeous moments when we know that they're together and in love and getting married. It's a rollercoaster ride and I'm loving it. Thanks for posting.

One minor question: aren't "crocodile tears" fake tears? Not sure why she'd be crying fake tears in the kitchen at that point.

Author's Response: Now that I've reread the story, I realized I didn't make it clear. In fact, I may go back and edit that.(Thanks for bringing it to my attention). In my mind, it was really around the same time as the Jim scenario. Sometime after B&G but before CN.

oops, couple more things..it's nice to read a story where Jim and Pam are permitted to be happy and confident in their current relationship. seems like many authors have to include the old angst and uncertainty of Roy and Karen/Katy, et al. Mixed in with accurate descriptions of who Jim and Pam really, how they think, and how they feel about one another, makes for a great read! be encouraged, and stay creative~ looking forward to more chapters!
Author's Response: Thanks, so glad you like it. I really wanted to focus on what path they took to make their relationship what it is, and why it is so valuable to them. I will revisit the angst a little but not all the way through. Hope you'll like the rest!

I'm loving the peeks into the past. You really described Pam's nerves well, and comparing them to how she felt before marrying (almost!) Roy highlights the fact that marrying Jim is the right decision for her.
All the little inserts like Jim realizing he'll never sleep alone in his room again and mentioning to Pam that they won't meet again as single people is a great idea- the fact that even the people involved find it hard to wrap their heads around the idea of being married.
Oh, and I love your name. I might not be fond of her art, but Pam definitely has a genius streak of creativity in her.
