I like this. I tend to skip over the time immediately after the coal walk (well, I like skipping over most of S3), but this is great. It shows how Pam reacted to it, and how she changed from the person right before the coal walk, into the person who gave the note to Jim, and how she really became who she needed to be!

Really nice story. If S3 was all about Pam growing up, then this story is the perfect ending to that tale. It's like she needs to get to this place in her head, before she and Jim could ever be happy together. You really capture that perfectly. Wonderful!

What a beautifully written fic! I love the transformation you give to Pam (I literally laughed out loud at the image of her singing in her car, so cute!!). Usually I'm a big JAM all the way type of girl, but this idea of an independent Pam (and I mean COMPLETELY independent of Jim) is pretty dawesome. Thanks for posting!
