I absolutely love this! It's just like something I used to dream would happen to me when I was a little girl. That I would meet my future husband when we were kids, we'd lose touch, then reconnect later in life...Sigh. Here's hoping it might still happen. ;)
Author's Response: Another gal told me that she did actually find out a couple years ago that she'd met her husband like this - he and his friends had struck up a game with her brother's friends in a park. Very cool.
