Seriously, I am just in love with this story already. I rewatched The Princess Bride yesterday for the gajillionth time in honor of it. Jim as a pirate is all kinds of hot. Also kind of curious if you're going to work the R.O.U.S's into it ;)
Author's Response: Thanks! That's great that you rewatched it ;) I'm still trying to figure out the fire swamp sequence - should have at least some metaphorical ROUSs.

"Yes. It's long and lightweight and perfectly balanced for my character's build..."
I hope that was a purposeful TWSS moment!
I adored "Inconceptable!" and am looooving the story so far.

My local video store doesn't have The Princess Bride. How wrong is that? Anyway, enjoyed the chapter. Now who could DPRoberts be...?
Author's Response: They don't have Princess Bride?! That is wrong, wrong, wrong. ;)

Oh, wow. In honor of your fic, I actually just re-read "The Princess Bride" and this is killing me. You're so fabulous.
Author's Response: Wow, that's awesome, Lis! You'll probably find this fic follows the movie closer than the book, but they're pretty similar anyway.

Hee! This is great. I'm doing the mental comparisons in my mind. I love that Michael keeps saying "inconceptable." What a fun fic! Yeah.... basically awesome. The thought of Jim crossed with the Dread Pirate Roberts did something squiggly to my insides. Only, more fun than that sounds.
Author's Response: Oh, no, squiggly insides sounds good! Glad you like it, tonightyourghost :)

I just love the interaction between the grandpa and his granddaughter - it adds such a sweet element to the story. And the line "sneaky kind of pretty" was brillant! (and how sweet that your husband left you a review and said the same thing about you.....awwwww.)
Author's Response: Thanks, kaystar! And, yeah, Dave rocks ;)

He would just do what she asked and smile, and say, simply,
"As you wish."
And each time, Pam wondered if maybe she had the wrong boyfriend.
Awww! That was the bit that convinced me I'm going to love this story.

By the time she got tricked into Michael's awful contest, Pam had decided that Jim was gone for good.
Ooooo!!! You tease, you!
*Sigh* Jim just makes the bestest Wesley. I am loving this!
Author's Response: Heehee! And he does, doesn't he? Now imagine him in that black pirate shirt. Did your head just explode? Sweet dreams ;)

Sadly, I barely remember the movie, but no matter...this stands on its own. Fun and lyrical and such a nice distraction. Like the rhythm of the language too.
