How cute! I love the little sprinkles of humor throughout this, especially that Dwight would think so highly of having Michael's home line or that he doesn't eat food "from countries that support terrorism.” That line was just genius. And the end was very endearing, especially how Holly was so understanding of Michael when he hung up on her. Nicely done!

“You call a monkey? Dwight, your personal life is so disturbing. Please don’t show me that again. Just call my phone and go.”
Your Michael and Dwight were pitch perfect. I really enjoyed this. Poor Michael.

I first checked this out because I had to know if the title was from the Regina Spektor song and seeing the chapter title, yep! Love that song. I'm also glad I clicked because this was such a fun piece. I loved Dwight's breathless wonder that he could actually have Michael's home number and that Michael's third rule is to not allow Dwight with shoes in his home. Just some wonderful touches. Really good fun.

Oh! How heartbreaking and spectacularly perfect. I love and adore Michael/Holly so much. Thank you for this. It was beautiful.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for reading, belsum! I love Michael/Holly, too.

Always nice to see something new from you. First of all, love Regina Spektor! Secondly, this is very sweet and very sad and you really capture the voices quite well. Lovely work.
Author's Response: I know, it has been a long time. It's nice to write something again. My muse has been absent for a while. Thank you for taking the time to comment, bitterpill

Great chapter title. I did exactly that. You've written Michael and Dwight perfectly. I want Holly back! I loved this. Am adding to my favorites.
Author's Response: I was going to have a line from the song for each chapter, but that means actually writing more chapters! I want Holly back, too. I think she's one of the best things to happen to the show in a long time. Thanks so much, Cheeb!

Paper Jam! I love this! Michael is no picnic to write, but you've done a wonderful job here in capturing what makes him annoying and endearing all at once. And Dwight is just lovely - intrusive, rude, and needy.
Generally speaking, this is well-written, economical, and delightfully effective. It's like haiku - you've got so much packed into a relatively small space. My favorite lines -
He breathes the last two words, accentuating the capital letters to lend the moment the importance it deserves. I'm squirming, but I can hear it. Perfect.
"Even Pam could punch through this drywall with her tiny hands and she’s a helpless female. Physically. Mentally she could probably rule the world if she applied herself.” Dwight pauses, as if imagining the possible outcome of that situation. The strangeness of the Pam/Dwight dynamic in a handful of sentences. Plus, I'm always a little giddy when Pam shows up.
He laughs and misses her more than he ever thought he would. More than when his mom moved away and told him it would be better if their relationship was long distance. More than when Jan left the first and eighteenth time. God, I just want to hug him, even if he'd probably try to cop a feel or kiss me or something.
Again, so well done!
Author's Response: I love writing Michael, but striking the balance can be hard. I'm glad to hear I pulled it off. Thank you so much for the kind words, Talkative.

Oh Michael. Oh, Holly. They're so perfect. And she gets the Michael & Dwight relationship, too. So sad that Michael thinks it is inevitable that Jan moves back in. It is, isn't it? Anyway, you capture all three voices flawlessly, and I adore that Dwight secretly respects Pam. That's a great detail in a small story filled with great details. Love!
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the love, nqllisi! I'm glad you enjoyed this.
