The letter by Pam was definitely true to her voice, heartfelt and romantic. Great job!
Author's Response: MissCorporate, I'm so sorry I didn't respond when you were reviewing back in March. I really appreciate your reviews! I'm glad you enjoyed these old pieces of mine-- this show was very special to me.

Gawd. I love this, and I love the idea of a Season 3 playing out in which Jim and Pam are actually together and are playing cat and mouse with the cameras.
Author's Response: I liked that idea, too. I wasn't 100% happy with this one-- too wordy, not Pam enough. But I still like the thought behind it, especially the idea that Jim was filling so many holes in Pam's life that she didn't fully realize her relationship with Roy was swiss cheese.

Oh! This story was so good! Her letter explaining that she didn't realize her relationship with Roy was lacking because Jim was filling the voids. She said she had been "cruel and careless" and apologized (perfect sentiment). And at the end they both agreed to take it slowly; to know the other was there and loved them, but to take the opportunity of this time apart for them BOTH to grow (I really liked the idea of Jim also growing).
And Pam hand delivering the letter to his door? I would be a bit creeped out knowing she had been on my porch, but it also shows she really made the effort. She drove the three (?) hours and had all that time to chicken out. Sticking a stamp on it and putting it in the mailbox doesn't give much time for second thoughts. I'm proud of her for writing the letter, for being so honest. And I'm proud of Jim for being willing to put himself out there again.
Thanks so much!
Author's Response:
Wow, thank you for this nice review, that you wrote 5 years ago... ;)
I have been out of touch but I really appreciate the comment. Thanks for reading!

Ya know, not many people would last too long in the DM Scranton Office. But, the opposite is also true. The DM Scranton people wouldn't last too long anywhere else either.
PAM WROTE HIM ALETTER! AND DELIVERED IT!
It included each other. That last paragraph is made of win. Seriously, my heart is smiling.
Author's Response: EmH, my notifications don't work so I tend to miss it when people comment on older stories. I'm very sorry about missing this one- and am retroactively glad to have made your heart smile. :)

This was just wonderful. I love how you point out that Pam didn't notice anything was missing in her relationship because nothing was missing in her life.
Really nicely written!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm so pleased that you came back and found this older story, and that it still "works" for you.

Wow. I can remember the conversation where we discussed all of this but you put it into Pam's voice and suddenly it became so much better. Nice work.
Author's Response:
Ha! I'll have to remember to pretend to be Pam next time we talk, then! :)
Thanks, as always.

Oh, that was just perfectly Pam! I loved it.
Author's Response: Oh, thank you! I was worried it was more like my own wishful thinking instead of being really in her head. Yay!

What a beautiful letter! Truer words were never spoken (written.) Just lovely.
Author's Response: Thank you so much!

I loved how Pam (you) pointed out that, ironically, the only thing keeping her and Roy together was Jim. It's an idea I haven't seen expressed anywhere else, and that's what I appreciate in a good fic.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad that seemed realistic to you- it's an idea I've really come to embrace.

Wow. Her letter was fantastic, nice job. I really, really liked the part about the fact that Jim had been the only one keeping them together. I think you really hit the nail on the head -- she didn't realize what she was actually missing out on until he was gone, and I think *that* was what really caused her to call off the wedding. Nice work!
Author's Response: Thank you! I've been thinking about that ever since the "thoughts and feelings" conversation during "Conflict Resolution"- what she gets from Jim that she doesn't get from Roy.

very, very nice :-)
Author's Response: Thanks! Of course, we'd never get to see this letter if she wrote it on the show...which is reason 101 why I love fanfic!

Oh, this was just perfect. Really sweet and wonderful:)
Author's Response: Wow, thank you!

Wow - great insight into both characters. Jim missing his grocery store? Perfect. And this is so true:
In a truly messed-up way, you were the only thing keeping me and Roy together.
Author's Response: Oh, thank you! I love that you always zero in on my own favorite parts.
Author's Response: And I must give myself a TWSS! after that reply *sigh*

Wonderfully sweet.
Author's Response: Yay, thank you!

Oh, Lis, I agree with xoxoxo. It is a far, far better world we have created here and I love your version! This sounds so like something Pam would say if only she would let go of her fears. Thank you!
Author's Response: You're welcome! I love your enthusiasm. Thanks!

OH. When it comes to Jim & Pam - it's like I live in 2 different worlds. The one that airs on Thursdays and the one here.
I like it here. :)
Great job!
Author's Response: We're glad you're here!! Thank you.

Goodness--best letter ever! Jim totally deserves a letter like that. This was really sweet.
Author's Response: Thank you. I think he deserves everything she can give him for what he's been through, but I think I'm a little bit biased.

I'm glad Pam sent a letter like that to apologize. That is a kind gesture, and Jim has earned that kindness. Nice story!
Author's Response: Thank you!!

I want so badly to have a chance to love you the way you deserve to be loved- the way you've loved me all this time.
Awww, that is so sweet. I wish I could see Big Tuna's face when he read it.
Author's Response: Thanks! Yeah, that would be something to see.

That? Was the best letter ever, and totally what Jim deserves, after everything.
Author's Response: Thanks! Yes, I thought it was time for Pam to suck it up and give him something back.
