What a sweet, lovely description of S3 angst. Simple but oh so well done. Thank you!

What a simple, perfect moment. She corrected herself. Not simple. Easy, but never simple.
I really like this. You know, you can capture so much from like a sentence. You know, I really love reading these well-written angsty fic because angst is not my favourite type of fic, but you seem to make me think so much about the little moments.. I really love it. I can't wait to read more. It was truly wonderful.
Author's Response: thanks so much! this little ficlet is dear to my heart, because i felt like it was such an important moment -- before beach games, before the job, before things shook up for little pam beesly. i'm really interested in pam's trajectory to where she is today and i had a blast writing this.

"She grabbed a (Christmas) tree-shaped cookie and tried not to notice Jim, who was trying not to notice her."
I really liked that line - as well as Pam drawing an empty heart. Very nicely done angst.
Author's Response: thanks so much! :)

Oh, Emily - I love these little moments where absolutely nothing happens on the surface, but the subtext/inner dialogue is so complex. You've captured this moment in time when everything was repressed and latent and so painfully present in its absence. And in a great minds moment, I'm working on something and just wrote the S3 part that takes place just at this moment too. So this was not only a good read, but inspiring too ;-) Thanks!
Author's Response: oh, colette -- thank you thank you thank you. i cannot WAIT to see what you've crafted.

Such a perfect little fic, Emily, and this in particular: For the rest of the day, she felt like she could smell his scent, his skin, his shirt.) What a simple, perfect moment. She corrected herself. Not simple. Easy, but never simple. Whew.
Author's Response: thanks for the feedback! i really like this fic... not to toot my own horn :)
