I actually really like this concept. It's struck me recently that Jim really gets very little in the way of arcs about his growth over the course of the series in the way that Fancy New/Courage and Honesty Beesly does, and that in some ways that is tied to his feelings for Pam. Watching him try to grow and how Pam reacts to that is interesting.

Well how 'bout that?! I never expected Pam to actually see the Paper! Am I a big dummy or what?! :) This was so sweet and heartfelt, Makemesmile. I enjoyed reading it.
Author's Response: thanks so much! glad you enjoyed and stuck with it!

I can't even express how much I loved these two chaps. Your mention of Newton, friction, obstacles? Fantastic. Jim's plight just breaks my heart. Can't wait for more.

I'm really enjoying this, and I especially liked this part. It really says a lot about Jim, I think:
. Always, though, I come in to work looking happy, I live life looking happy, and no one knows. No one ever asks, “Is something wrong, Jim?”, “Are you OK, Jim?” I’m sure if they did ask, I would just tell them I was fine. It would just be nice to know that someone cares.

I don't know how I've missed this, but I read the whole thing tonight and I've really enjoyed it. I love the sections of Jim's writing; so weel done.
I am looking forward to the next update!

Whew! ::NanReg lets out a breath she didn't know she was holding:: Good, good chap, Makemesmile. I AM salivating! This little dance they're doing is exhausting (in a good way). Please, oh please don't wait so long to update. I'm sitting on the edge of my seat...

I just read the last 5 chapters and I'm really enjoying myself. This stream ofconsciousness style is really working well here and you have a lovely handle on the dialogue and banter between the two. This last chapter was a lot of fun, them using The Princess Bride to bide time. I look forward to more!

This is an amazing chapter. So very well writen.
And I love "I am trapped in this weird love triangle that only I know about."
Awsome job.

I read the four chapters that are up so far all at once and I'm looking forward to the next one! You mentioned the second chapter was a different format, but the way you slipped it in worked well for me. I liked seeing a little bit of what Jim's writing would be like, especially when he takes his time and chooses his words more carefully than he does when speaking.
Really enjoyable, can't wait for more!

Hey, Makemesmile, nice to see you back so soon--and with TWO chaps. You're building the tension quite nicely, and I'm looking forward to Jim and Pam's dinner date.

I'm going to applaud the same line NanReg did - the love triangle that only Jim knows about. I love that.
I also like your first person Jim, please keep writing.

Thanks for making me smile, Makemesmile (sorry--couldn't resist). Liking this idea very much. Nice to see a Jim with a sense of growing optimism.
Great line: I am trapped in this weird love triangle that only I know about. There it is. /Jim
I hope you're inspired to update soon!
