What has two thumbs and LOVES this chapter to death? This guy! (well, girl. Whatever.) This was fan-freaking-tastic. I loved the incorporation of the fake public announcement (wedding cake smashed in the face is a tired cliche. :P Whether it was intentional or not, it made me smile.) And it was just a cute/funny/adoreable/awesome chapter. :D Can't wait for an update!

Yay, I am all caught up and this story rocks!!!! I am just, dying for more. And when this story is over, I NEED another one. Seriously. The first story was all about the meeting and courtship and getting engaged and the second story is about settling into adult lives and getting married. The third story can be about having babies and I'll figure something out for the fourth, don't you worry!
Seriously, this story is amazing. It's touching and sweet and sometimes angsty, very realistic and often hilarious. This quote:
”Check it out! Pam’s in her pajamas. And they have little shamrocks on them, and it’s not even St. Patrick’s Day. What what!”
Best. Line. Ever.
Author's Response: I'm so sorry that I'm just now getting to reply to your review. I'm glad to hear that you have been enjoying this story as Jim and Pam grow and mature into adulthood. And yes, i'm still debating the whole third story idea. Bribes will work! I like candy. Haha. Thank you so much for the review.

HAHA DWIGHT!! that was a very nice touch.
The man-whore tidbit was also awesome.
I'm terrified that this might be over soon and then I won't have a reason to run madly for the computer every day. So keep writing!! Yay!

One of the great things you've accomplished throughout writing Indie Rock & Keds and this story is that you've remained true to your characterization of all the characters you've used throughout the duration of each story. And the wedding you presented was so very them, your version of Jim and Pam. Bravo! As for the next chapter, I would definitely like to see what goes on during their honeymoon!

Love the chapter. Such a great way to see them at the reception and of course going back to the hotel. So many sweet moments.

You did a perfect job describing the reception. I'm up for the honeymoon for sure.

I know i've never reviewed this before, but I have been following since 'Indie Rock & Keds' and have really enjoyed everything that you've put out so far. This chapter is really beautiful and I'm very interested to see where you go from here. :)

So glad you're feeling better babes, but omg SUCKYNESS about the gorgeous weather and school getting in the way, we missed yooou.
So omg ok, I loved the fluffy smut from this chapter, it seriously made my day. You wrote the wedding reception just as I pictured it - seriously I sometimes worry that I have a share in your brain and we just don't know about this, because it was SO AMAZINGLY SPOT ON.
Loved Hannah and Pam finally connecting, would love to see that a little bit more (ha more ways to make this longer YO,)
The speaches were beautiful, especially Pam's Dad's speech.
LMAO at them always kissing and Jim trying to get Pam to leave, howdid she refuse him in his tux mmm :)
Can't wait to hear about their honeymoon (and omg maybe babies ;) yes make this fic last until babies PLEASE lol.)
Wow your fics make me hyper.
Have a safe trip my loveeeeee.

Beautiful. You do such a great job of keeping them in character and writing amazing dialogue--that's always so hard to do, and you're just amazing at it. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes next!
Author's Response: Thank you, BigTuna- your kind words mean so, so much. You're absolutely right- writing Jim/Pam dialogue is quite a challenge, and I'm so humbled that you think this AU version closely relates to the Jim and Pam we know from the show. Thank you for the review!

Really great chapter! You're not kidding about this 70 degree Chicago weather, I hate that I'm at work and don't get to enjoy it.
Anyway, can't wait for another update, this story is amazing.

I love fluff. So this chapter was such a treat. It was happy and fluffy, sunshine and puppies, just like a wedding reception should be.
Pam, imagining all the occasion she would have to refer to Jim as her husband. So cute. Jim, tryna figure out ways they could sneak away so he could have his wife to himself. Awesome.
Awww, Pam and Hannah are gonna be friends again! I really liked how both sisters were flashing back to the childhood wedding parties that they shared. Sisters are the best! I really like mine too.
Really great song choice for first dance, I love that John Legend tune. And the Lover song added to the playlist was also a very nice touch.
I really enjoyed their hotel room conversation as well. I don't really believe in love at first sight either. I do though really believe in the 'needing to know more' that Jim talked about. I can't love you at first sight, because I don't know enough about you to feel that deeply. But, I do know enough to want to know more. Nice job with the when did you first like me talk.
Okay, coming up... I'd like to see them in California, a little sun after their winter wonderland wedding, is, I think, just what the doctor ordered.
As always, I cannot wait for more! Thanks for another great chapter!

Oh my God I'm about ready to cry. Too beautiful, absolutely too beautiful. VERY well done and you KILLED me with the references to her childhood, imaging her wedding because what little girl hasn't done that? You've totally outdone yourself here :) Can't wait for the wedding night sexage! There will be wedding night sexage, right? RIGHT?!
Author's Response: Aw, I'm so humbled by your lovely comments- thank you, thank you, thank you! You shall be rewarded with wedding night sexage! I just hope I did you proud because oh my gosh, still working on getting comfortable with the whole writing smut thing. I hate being all self-conscious about it, but what can I say? I'm getting there... ;)

Hope you're feeling better! GREAT chapter. I love them having that tender moment before walking down the aisle and her prep with the girls. I cannot wait to hear about the actual ceremony and then of course...the wedding night :)
Author's Response: I'm not sure we'll get to see the actual ceremony, but we will definitely flash back to little pieces here and there as the story continues. I figured a wedding with 25 guests was meant to be intimate and personal, and I just... didn't want to go there for some reason. I hope you forgive me!! Again, I promise we will at least hear about the actual ceremony in future chapters. I won't completely keep you in the dark. ;) Thanks for taking the time to review- I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I'm sorry I don't comment more on ths fabulous story. I loved everything about this chapter. I don't know if we will ever see a Jim/Pam wedding on the show. I will forever be happy to have this image in my mind of their day. Hopefully you have lots more to write about in this story.
Author's Response: Aw, well hank you so much for taking the time to review. I'm glad to still have you on board with this story, it's been such an incredible journey with these two- Jim/Pam the Chicago AU version- and I'm so happy that you've been enjoying it. And oh gosh, we better see a Jim/Pam wedding on the show or I just might lose it! A couple of more chapters to go... I do feel like there is still plenty of story left. ;)

major cuteness.
lloyd dobler=best fictional boyfriend ever.
well, jim's pretty high up on that list too (:
Author's Response: I re-watched Say Anything the other day, and I'm even more in love with Lloyd Dobler, if that's possible. ;) LOVE the end when he holds her hand until the seat belt light goes off. Too cute! Thank you for the comment!

Ah, there's nothing more mood-setting than Dwight walking in to your wedding and saying "You may have a tremendous bloodbath on your hands." Angela's really lucky. :P Seriously though, this chapter was fantastic! Not that your other chapters haven't been equally fantastic--I just haven't had the time to review. I definitely loved the format of this--the narration-esque commentary on weddings, starting after they're married, and flashing back to eight hours earlier. I was nervous Jim might not make it to the ceremony but he made it! >.< This whole chapter made me feel like Kelly, the way I wanted to squeal and sigh. It's adorable. You are such an amazing writer! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D (yeah, JAM wedding makes me smile that much!)
Author's Response: Ha-ha. Oh, Dwight. His character is able to bring so much comic relief without even realizing it. I'm glad to hear that you're still following this story- I've missed your lovely comments. :) So happy that you enjoyed the format of this chapter- I copied and pasted like a CRAZY woman the entire time I was writing, trying to get it just right. So I'm pleased to hear that you were happy with the result.

So cool! I liked the chronology that you used...starting with the newlyweds tredging through the snow to their hotel. Hooray! The story flowed perfectly and it created a different kind of supense. Good work! Also, i love when they talked before the ceremony through the doorframe. Their convo was so normal and didn't get melodramatic (which it could have gotten).
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked the order of this chapter, especially since there was plenty copying and pasting over the course of writing it. Heh. Thanks so much for the review- I'm glad to hear you enjoyed this installment. :)

I have a sad face that you were sick all week. Stupid flu, but I am happy happy happy that you are now well enough to give us an update. Oh, don't thank me for waiting patiently, there was nothing patient about me, on the edge of my seat all week. But... my dear, your story, always worth it!
They are married now!! Hip hip hooray! I am so excited. And it snowed, a lot, it snowed! I am so happy that Jim was able to get himself from his brother's house, even if he did have to dig, dig, dig his way there. No doubt in my mind that he would have tunneled to the Nature Museum, if he had to, in order to get to his bride.
So, Pam's mom and Angela make quite the team, huh? I am glad they are on Pam's side, because I'm not too sure how pleasant life would be if these two were against you. But on her side, Pam had no worries, I love they way they take good care of our girl.
Kelly and Karen, the best sidekicks ever! Kelly IS a stalker, Pam may need to have a chat with her on that wallpaper picture. And signing the song from that Disney movie together, was tons of fun!
The sister was there!!!! You know I wondered about her. I still wonder if we are gonna get some Pam/Hannah interaction in a future chapter...
So... they had to walk a few blocks in their wedding best to get to that awesome hotel room in the snow, while wearing their wedding best... I hope that didn't tire them out too much, I am waiting for the scorching hot post-wedding hotel party these two are having!!
Always, nice job, Nightswept. Sorry about the rambling, I just cannot help myself sometimes!
Author's Response: Haha- I again apologize for keeping you waiting, it pains me that I had to make you sit around for an entire week while I took my sweet little time with this chapter. And I'm happy to report that I'm feeling better. I'll try my best to not spread that nasty flu virus around. It was not fun.
They ARE married! Ah, what a relief. All of that stress is finally behind them. Hurray! Poor Jim having to dig his way to Pam, but you're right. He said it himself last night that he would do whatever it took to marry her, and he found himself in quite the dilemma. ;) But the snowstorm made things all the more romantic, don't you think?
Pam's mom and Angela are too funny together. Angela has always been like a sister to Pam, and sometimes it seems like Angela is perfectly fitting as Mrs. Beesly's daughter. And love, love, love that Pam has worked out her relationship with her mother, and that those two take wonderful care of her. So great to have people like that in your life. And Kelly and Karen- ha! I'm glad you like "Pam's friend" Karen; I love having her as an addition to this story, and I love Pam having girlfriends that we are all already so familiar with. Disney movies! Their little sing-a-long makes me want to bust a bunch of old animated movies out of their DVD cases. I may have to encourage my friends to have a Disney movie marathon this weekend. I'm sure they'll be eager to jump on board.
Pam's sister. There will be a scene between those two in the following chapter that I already have mapped out. So be looking forward to that. It pains me that they've been so distance. They so need to work on their relationship, and I have a feeling that the new, grown-up, married Pam will be inspired to improve things with Hannah in the next couple of chapters. Speaking of next chapters, the following will include their reception/wedding night. And what a fun night it will be in that hotel room. That is all that I will say.
Thank you so much for the review! And never apologize for rambling- never! This was such a treat to read. Thank you. :)

*sob* I'VE MISSED YOU!!
gawd, i've been checking back every day hoping for an update, and let me tell you, relief is not a strong enough word to describe how i felt when i saw you'd posted!!
you have me HOOKED. i don't know what's going to happen if this ends. i hope it doesn't.
i really liked the addition of pam's sister, and my favorite part of this chapter was definitely the vow trash talk. so appropriate, so perfect. also, the homosexual burglar comment. brilllliant.
as are you. write on!
Author's Response: Hey there. Thank you so much- it is so great to hear that you are enjoying this story so much, because I am so in love with writing it. Seriously, it's my anti-drug, and I don't know if I ever want it to end. Ah!
I'm glad you enjoyed the vow trash talk- Jim and Pam's conversation before the wedding was my favorite in this chapter. I apologize for keeping you waiting so long, and I promise, promise, promise it won't be a whole week before the next update. It pains me that I had you all on the edge of your seats, waiting... waiting. Thanks for the awesome review! You are too kind and amazing for words.

So, I read this and Indie Rock and Keds all in the same sitting, and I have to say that they're probably my favorite stories on here. I love love love it. I can't wait to read more!
Author's Response: Wow! Thank you so much for taking the time to read. And what a compliment- I'm glad that you have enjoyed "Indie Rock" and "Illinoise"- thank you for such a kind review!
