Wow. The way you reason through Pam's head, it's astounding how much it all makes sense. Very very well done, and I can't wait for part II!
Author's Response: Thanks Wendy B! I'm glad it makes sense to you because I know it doesn't for some. It's tough to have things not go as "perfectly" as they have on the actual show ... but I think it's plausible that something like this could have happened if Jim and Pam hadn't "evolved". Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Hi, again, wen!
Well, if it is true that my emails helped light the fire to get this story posted, I think that that will count as my good deed of the day! :-)
Author's Response: Gold star to you, VB! ;-) It was your gentle prodding that made me stick to this ... if it didn't seem like anyone cared, I probably still would have written it, but probably not posted it. (Actually, I did write the first part all the way back in September!) So you get the credit (or the blame) for this one seeing the light of day. Thanks!

Wow, if this story almost hit too close to home for you...well, it seriously hit close to home for me. That was some deep introspection on the part of our girl Pam. I know EXACTLY what she meant with every thought of hers that you wrote. I'm very impressed. Great story!
Author's Response: I know, right? I've been there (sort of) and had those feelings (kinda) and even though I LOVE Jim (seriously, I LOVE him) ... I could see how Pam might just need time by herself to figure some stuff out. Thanks for taking the time to read and review!rnrnrn(Sorry I'm so slow in respodning, EarlyWorm!)

*pumps fist in air* YES. I have been HOPING AND HOPING that you'd write this, and I am so happy to see you have stayed true you your word - which must have been hard because you got a lot of stick for Philly Jim and omg I loved it =)
You're awesome and don't forget that... NOW UPDATE lol.
Author's Response: Thanks for the enthusiasm, HH! I know this one is not going to get the warm, fuzzy reception that stuff like June 10th got, but it's good to know I have a few loyal readers following this ... different ... story. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

I really loved Philly Jim and am so happy to see New York Pam. Anticipation has now begun for the continuation of this. Yayyyyy!!
Thank you!!
Author's Response: Thanks, airjorg! (Sorry I'm so slow with my response...) This one is slow going, but I hope you'll stick with me. Thanks for taking the time to read and review!

Wen, I am teary eyed that you pursued this. You took such heat for Philly Jim, and I'm sure it left you with a bit of a bad taste in your mouth. To actually go ahead and write ths companion piece is something to be proud of. Best of all, what I've read so far is great. I'm not just saying that because you're one of my favorite authors. Even though I know this will hurt my heart, I look forward to following it.
The first time I recognized that voice as me, I nearly cried. I wanted to hug her and whisper in her ear, I’ve been waiting for you. Where have you been? Simply great. Cheering for you, doll. Give me more and soon! ; )
Author's Response: Ah, Nan. Yeah, this one is a toughy, but a promise is a promise. Even if only a handful of people read it, I owe it to the fans of Philly Jim to give them Pam's side. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it ... it won't end badly, I promise. ;-)

I have been hoping, hoping for the longest time that you would get around to telling Pam's side of the story. I was just emailing Stablergirl last night and mentioned how Philly Jim and I Just Wanted to Be Famous are my favorite stories of all time on this site. I can't wait to read all about Pam's side of the story.
I really like the details you chose here: how Pam feels she can't trust Jim's judgment of her talent; how their lives start to feel separate; how, despite how much he loves her, Jim doesn't quite let Pam in all the way but hides his "product deficiencies." I can see all of these things.
Looking forward to part 2!
Author's Response: Thanks so much, VB! To be honest, you're the one who lit the fire under me to at least post what I had so far. Thanks for that! I'm glad it rings sort of true and thank you for sticking with me. (I Just Wanted to Be Famous is one of my all-time favorites, too!)

I haven't read this yet. Just super excited that you actually posted it...:)
***kisses****and a big big hug****
Author's Response: Well ... I'm finally getting back to answer my reviews. No excuses, just ... lazy? Anyway, thanks for your support, DS. You're one of my biggest cheerleaders. Hope you enjoy (is enjoy the right word) this one!
