This is just heart wrenching, but wonderful at the same time. After watching my sibling waste away from cancer, I couldn’t say I wouldn’t feel/think the same things that Jim felt/did in this chapter. Thank you for sharing this story with us . I really look forward to the next chapters (regardless of the outcome).

I know Roy can be insensitive, but I thought even he'd understand that she's gone to visit her best friend who's about to have surgery, I don't think he'd have gotten angry about it, but YMMV
I'm intrigued to see how Pam acts now around Jim now that she knows he likes her. Looking forward to next chapter :)

As a fellow high school senior I can totally relate to the lack of time to write--but I'm very glad you found the time! This story is fantastic. I can totally see Pam pseudo-stalking Jim's hospital room, despite being asked not to show. And Roy's freakout? While it seems to be an overreaction by normal standards, it doesn't seem outside of Roy's character. Great work! Don't wait too long for another update! :D

This is a very interesting story. Sick Jim/Pam stories usually make me nervous, but I'm hoping for a happy ending here. I'm sure that the journey to a happy ending will be a great read.
