I liked this chapter! You definitely exceeded 56% decent. I think you are weaving a good yarn. I like how well you capture Jim's nervousness about ... so many things. How his LiveChat idea will be received by the various branches. How he can exercise authority over his old coworkers. Dealing with David. Facing Pam.

I definitely think the nervousness is one of the things that really separates Jim from Ryan; Ryan was so overly confident and really took charge from the very first instant, whereas Jim would definitely feel his way through a little more. Awesome start. I really liked the way you handled that phone conversation with Michael. It didn't feel at all awkward to use the episode dialogue - I could easily imagine those words being Jim's instead of Ryan's. Looking forward to more.

And yeah, you aren't kidding when you say it'll be no small feat, but I have lots of ideas about what would go down with Jim in Ryan's place, and so I hope they manifest themselves as well on paper as they do in my mind. If this is out of practice, I am SO looking forward to the next few chapters, because WOW!!! This was nothing short of amazing, and I mean it. Firstly the way you described Jim’s feelings walking through NYC, how it slowly morphs from residential to financial, that was exactly how I felt the first time I went to the city, it’s like you can’t help but walk along open mouthed, you know?
It’s wrong how sexy I find Jim in corporate – I can’t wait to find out what happens when he goes back to Scranton and when he sees Pam. They need to get together and do it in his office in NYC… no, no come on, I’m sorry, that just came out ;) But honestly I cannot wait to hear what you have planned. When I saw you had written a new fic I literally squeed with joy, so come on, snap snap, get to it – UPDATE PLEASE =)
Author's Response: LOL!! This review seriously just made my day, so thank you!!!! As for the city imagery, all I can say is thank God for Google Street View. Even via satellite images (or however they get those shots), the city is totally amazing to "walk through." And just between you and me (and, you know, anyone else who reads this response) the mental image of Jim at corporate was absolutely one of the driving forces behind writing it. Like, putting him with his Big Haircut hairstyle and nice suit actually in a corporate office (and a position of power), is toootally sexy. So I'm with ya all the way there. ;) I think I'm just as excited for him to go to Scranton as much as you are, so hopefully there will be an update soon!! Again, thank you so, so much!!!
