I love this 100%. So lovely. And I don’t know if I can look at percentages the same way again. Nice storytelling technique.

This just makes me smile every time I read it, and I've read it quite a few times. I adore this.
I am a West Wing fan but never bothered to look for WW fanfic. It is indeed some quality fic you've linked, so thanks so much for that!
Author's Response: oh man what a compliment! thank you for reading, re-reading, and posting!rnrnyou have got to check out ww fic. there was some really beautiful stuff out there... i recommended 'exit strategy' already but i'll do it again. what a great fic. the nice thing is that that audience/fandom was quite fancy and erudite, so there was a lot of really wonderful work to read.

He likes it all: the weirdness, the getting to know her like this; it’s overwhelming and wonderful and he feels clear-headed, awake after a long sleep.
So perfectly put. And: ...her soft skin is all he can comprehend wins besotted line of the year award, and two minutes just became sexier than two hours (one can only imagine round two, once they'd gotten past the initial kaboom.) So much sexy, so much heart, so character-specific. You're just too damn good at this, Emily.
Author's Response: oh hi there :) thank you! my ever present cheerleader. when will YOU post something new??

Incredibly well-written. Also, given the circumstances, the fact that Jim even made it to two minutes is quite a feat.
Author's Response: thank you! and, i'm sure jim would thank you if he could :)

I've said before that you are master of the short fic - you say so much, and paint such compelling pictures with amazing economy. And this is proof positive.
I just LOVE this ... really do.
Author's Response: have you said that i'm the master of the short fic? i love it, i'll take it! of course, there are others who rock the short fic so hard... their names escape me... but i'll certainly share mastership with others. co-mastership :)rnrnwhat a lovely and well worded review. thank you!

I'm 100% sure that this story is awesome. I think that would've been some week as well and I love interpretation of what it could have been. Seriously loved it. Thanks for posting!

I absolutely adored this. You encompassed so much in such a short piece. I love how he can't last for more than two minutes the first time and how she tells him she loves him when he passes the salt. Perfect.
Author's Response: thank you! i never realized how short it was til now... but i feel good about it. thanks again!

Yeah the intensity of those early days together must have been like something out of their favorite fantasies. It's a wonder they were able to hide it at work as long as they did. This story packed an emotional wallop in very few words. Great job!
Author's Response: aw, thank you! i just love these crazy kids... rnwell, they hid it from everyone except kevin of course :)

I agree, that had to have been one hell of a week. And yeah, Little Jim probably got a bit carried away at first. Heck, he's only been in love with her for what 3, 4 years by this time? Yeah.
Nicely done.
Author's Response: yup. two minutes :)rnrnthank you so much!

How do you do it, girly? You pull these delightful little gems out of thin air. Well, I'm sure that's not true; a lot of work must be involved to make it seem so effortless. I guess what I'm trying to say is that, once again, you have created a little work of art that I find totally captivating. The subject you chose this time around is one that I've spent way too much time thinking about over the past couple years: what must it have been like for Jim to finally be with Pam after all those years of longing for her and fantasizing about her? While I love a fic about studly Jim as much as the next gal, the thought that he'd last about two minutes is the most realistic. I mean, really, how could he not be a little over-excited, right? :) So happy your muse is still hanging around. I hope she doesn't go anywhere any time soon.
Author's Response: thank you so much! you know, this fic cleared a lot out of my head, but i still continue to imagine how it must have felt for them. to finally be a them. i love it, it causes me endless delight. rnand i really want to stand by two minutes. i am sure he improved, but at the beginning, two minutes. that's being generous :)
