I just started reading this because I was filing through the list of ribboned stories, and the only part that struck me was that it hasn't been updated in so long! I don't know if you have plans of continuing this story or not, but it's really amazing and interesting and something different, so I totally think you should. Great job!

Yes! In the current Officeverse, I don't think Pam has the courage and incentive to ever make this big a play for Jim (not yet, at least), but it completely makes sense in the context of the story. Can't wait to see what AU!Jim is like!

This is a really interesting idea- I don't think I've ever read an AU like this. I'm loving the story so far- you have all of the characters voices down perfectly, and the image of Pam crying herself to sleep without actually knowing why is just so spot- on, considering how confused we know she must have been following the broken engagement.
And this exchange is just hilarious:“Are you going to tell how Jan dumped you?” Kelly asked with a stiffened giggle.
“No,” Michael answered slowly. “Because she never did.”
“Yeah, because you never dated,” Stanley mumbled.
“Stanley, I thought you didn't want to take part in our group therapy, so, you know, it's too late to join now.”
Stanley rolled his eyes.
“Sorry, I didn't know the procedures. We didn't have group therapies in the ghetto.”

Oh, the heartbreak, the silly, silly heartbreak. I love how you're taking this, where you seem to be taking this, and the pace, along with the amazing plotline and the unbelievable Pamness you've got in every line of this, it's just amazing. Brilliant.
Also, yes, thank you, NO KAREN! HALLELUJAH. Our Beesly's got quite a bit to work around, already - what with Jim being quite Jim from what I've seen [I refuse to think that any Jim except our Jim would be so incredibly nice when talking to a slightly silly-sounding person on the phone who doesn't even know who she called :P] but still not being the Jim we know because we all know that our Jim is part Beesly, too. It'll be interesting to see how he's like without the added Pam-ness to him, if that makes sense. I'm interested to see how you take that - not that I'd be worried, because you've gotten all of them perfect so far. :D
Yes, anyway, Pam has enough of obstacles to get to Jim, and put Karen in would just be unfair. Not just to her, but to us. Those cursed writers!! ;)
OK, yes, so, I love this story, and I can't wait for an update, at all. At all.

I enjoying making up plots, but my writing is rather... minimalistic, I think, so I guess a lot of the characterization is either non-existant or has to be read between the lines... So I'm happy to hear that someone thinks I got the characters right;)
