I love this! I always found, though, that the JAM story (through season three) seemed more like Jane Austen's Persuasion. The girl breaks the guys heart because it's what the people in her life expect of her, and when he returns, he finds himself a new girl to make her jealous, because he thinks she's over him, but they eventually find their way back to each other.

Wow, that's awesome. I've never read nor seen P&P (but it suddenly sounds a lot more interesting), but I love the comparision and Pam will have a lot to learn in the coming years... because maybe things like that do happen in real life ;)
Author's Response: Thanks EmilyHalpert! I definitely recommened P&P, but I'd watch one of the movies first, the book can be a little tedious if you don't enjoy 18th century english. The 1995 A&E mini series is word for word perfect, although be warned it's 5 hours long. Then again 5 hours of Colin Firth works for me:). Kiera Knightly did a great job in the 2005 version, but becasue of length it's just the general storyline, a lot of good scenes were cut. If you do see it let me know what you thought. Oh and thanks for taking the time to review. Reviews are as good as The Office now being syndicated!! Yeah for more Office!!

Awesome! I love me some P&P. Also, Colin Firth as Darcy is perhaps the sexiest thing ever. But I digress- I love the idea that this story resonated wiith Pam even back in the Roy days. Excellent idea, perfectly and simply executed!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review! I loved the idea of Pam loving P&P as much as I do. Matthew Macfadyen was a nice boyish kind of Darcy, but you just can't beat Colin Firth for sheer perfection and sexiness!

I've recently become obsessed with P&P, so I loved it! (Definitely agree about the BBC version--great!) Have you read the Mr. Darcy trilogy by Pamela Aiden? So great!
Author's Response: Funny you ask, I just got the second book (Duty and Desire)in her Darcy series from the library yesterday. I'm only a few pages in, but I love seeing more of Darcy and Georgiana:) Any other reccomendations?

What a clever idea! Great job! :)
Author's Response: Thank you! I was afraid it might come off as weird, so I'm glad you enjoyed!

Wow... I love the book, but never realized all the similarities. And it is eerily similar... like, weirdly similar. This was great. I have seen you around here lately and think I should start reading your stuff more(:
Author's Response: Thank you so much for reviewing! After I posted the story, I started worrying that not enough people read P&P nowadays and they might just think it's weird. So your making me feel much better! And it is kind of eerie, this started as a 4 line story, but the more I compared the stories, the more similarities I found. I would love if you read more of my stuff. Not much yet but I'm working on it:)
