Is it sad that I started liking penguins a lot more after Jim had one in ES? Seriously. Penguins weren't big either way on my list, but then... it warped my brain, and yeah... not its all PENGUINS!
Author's Response: Haha, it's not sad at all. Then again, I am all about some adorable, eccentrically random animal pimpage. Any means of spreading the zoological love is alright in my book. Plus, that penguin statue is pretty awesome.

Excellent to hear from you again so soon, shortlatte! This was really touching and sweet. Of course, I'm thinking about that deleted scene from E-Mail Surveillance with the penguin in Jim's room : D I love your descriptions--cotton candy puffs, crystal beads like snowflakes--so pretty.
This paragraph broke my heart: Her words rolled over him as he focused on the tall one in the back, the one standing a little apart from the group, the way he normally focused on the blinking cursor of an open, blank email document whenever his emotions overwhelmed him. It happened sometimes after lunchtime, after shared looks and private laughs were interrupted by Roy, calling her babe, asking questions without listening to her answers. He watched the bird slowly wobble toward the group and silently cursed Roy for invading the penguin house too. He didn’t even need to be in town for his presence to corrode. Boy, that is just perfect. Keep it up!

Your imagery and portrayal of emotion is very tangible and accurate. From the detail of Jim's smirking expression to Pam's tentative yet genuine speech, your writing flows so naturally that reading it feels effortless.
