"He just can’t say no to her and surrenders the chips with a smile, because even if she’s completely oblivious, he knows he’s actually handing over his heart with that gesture."
I love that line. Great job capturing Jim's early feelings for Pam.
Author's Response: Thanks so much! And thanks for validating the story for the site kaystar! I just discovered this site a week ago and I'm already forsaking my other fandom for this one:)

You've captured the magic of seasons one and two in this glorious one shot. I really hope you'll write and post more :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I like to think of this as a little tribute to the heartfail of seasons one and two...ah I miss it :)

This was truly wonderful. You seemed to capture Jim's feelings in season 1 and 2 so brilliantly - wow that was just awesome!!!
Look forward to seeing more from you :)
Author's Response: Thanks so much for your review! I was honestly not expecting any reviews, and you guys blew my mind! I'm glad you think I captured Jim's mindset, he's so understated in his actions and words, but I like to think he's inwardly very conflicted!

"He wants to scream it from the roof the building and burrow himself six feet underground simultaneously, because it’s true: He’s hopelessly in love with Pam, and there’s not a fucking thing he can do about it without royally screwing up both their lives"
This paragraph pretty much sums up Jim's life in Seasons 1 and 2. Wow.
Author's Response: Haha, I'm glad you thought so! I initially thought my wording was a little too direct and plainly stated, but all in all I guess I just wanted Jim to finally admit it to himself. Thanks for your review!

Peanut butter goes with jelly and Pam Beesly goes with Jim. These are facts of life :D Another fact: your story is amazing (as is your pen name). As I was reading this story, I was reminded of Jim's toast from last night's episode and what he said, "...to waiting" because that's what he did!
You did a wonderful job writing Jim's confusion and inner monologue and everything he thought and felt. The part where he linked PB & J to him and Pam and how he wished someone other than he would just see that...heartbreaking!
But reading this makes me that much happier about last night's episode and so grateful at how far they've come.
Excellent job! Looking to read more from you.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! It was brewing in my head for a while, and I wanted to get it out in honor of the wedding episode! I took inspiration from the EW: Jim and Pam edition laying right here on my desk...

What a beautifully written story! I hope you continue writing.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for your feedback! I'm hoping to write a little more in the office fandom because I'm trying wean myself off another:)
