She’s not sure how it’s possible to love someone this much. Ah, but it's wrong how much I love her. And she's fictional. Doubly fictional in fact.
And it's so true. I mean, not that I have kids of my own, but man, when I'm with the babies. They'll be hollering and screaming and I'm like hush it, there's five of you, you just have to deal with it right now!! And I've changed more diapers than should ever be allowed and gotten spit up and other bodily fluids everything.
But dang it, you can't help but be amazed and just be happy. Especially when you get the blessed silence (that is why lunch break is the most amazing thing invented!)

Wow. This was so beautifully sweet and heartfelt and moving and just all things wonderful rolled up into a pink blanket. Loved her name, loved the story. Just wonderful.

Very sweet and so nicely done. How about a sequel for baby number two?

This is gorgeous, bashert, and so touching and, just, bursting with love and happiness. I must listen to that Ben Folds' song. "Emaline" is such a pretty name. Thank you for this.

Oh, somebody up there likes me...I've had the worst day, and this makes it SO much better. I've missed your writing. You have such an amazing knack for capturing precisely the right feeling in so little words. Little details, like Jim's ring glinting in the sun and the way you describe Pam's yearning to have more time - pause the day I think is the way you said it - in order for more moments with her baby...ugh, this is gorgeous and I adore that name - and Regina Spektor (a new love). Gorgeous stuff here.
Author's Response: It's like I knew you were having a bad day (this is in no way accurate. But if I did have powers like that, I totally would have written this just for you), I'm glad you liked it! Regina Spektor is love, isn't she? And the name, confession, is my goddaughter's name. I love it a whole lot.

I'm a Regina Spektor novice, but :: sings :: I've got a perfect bo-dee, 'cause my eye. lashes. catch. my. sweat...
Bashert, this is sweet (she feels warm when she realizes that her daughter is less than a day old and she knows things about her already), vivid (I'm childless, but her pain made me recoil), and so, so touching (more examples than I can point to). Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Please don't stay away so long next time.
(...yes they do, they do-ooo-ooo-ooo!)
Author's Response: Regina Spektor novice huh? Keep going. She's amazing. I'm going to try not to stay away so long, stupid writer's block...
