Oh man, what a roller coaster ride! I've read several of your stories today, and a common theme was how great Jim and Pam are together. In sync. Deliriously happy and very funny.
Then I read this one and their communication problems made me cry. He was so distant and I can't imagine a Jim not caressing her baby bump every night. Him giving her massages to help alleviate her stress (high blood pressure).
How sad to realize that Jim felt like a failure. He was too ashamed to hang out (is that what they're calling it these days?!?) with Pam. Yay for Pam for stepping up to the plate. And yay to YOU for ending it with awesome sex.
P.S. I liked Jim's dad too...

This story is nothing short of amazing! You have the Jim/Pam dynamic down so well and I could so easily see this paying out with him thinking he has a need to protect her no matter what, shouldering the burden aloe while she easily slides into doubting if he still loves her. As sad as most of this was, it was also magical and the way you captured their absolute need, desire and unwavering passion for only each other was really awesome! Thanks for a GREAT story!

This is the first fic I've read since MTT started doing that weird thing with the red screen, and I am so very impressed. This was sexy and smart and fun. You made the emotions of the fight very real, which paid off beautifully in Part 4.

so, i had short day at work and kept thinking to myself 'maybe when i get home part 4 will be there'. then lo and behold it was, so i was a good girl and paid all the bills online and laundry cause i knew i wanted to read this guilt free...it was soooooo worth it. i have no other words, but thank you. it's been a cruddy month and even though there was all the angst, it was so worth it for this last chapter and it's put a smile on my face this past week.

How great is this story?! One of my favorites in a long time. I generally don't read WIPs, but I couldn't help but follow this story from part 1 on. The whole story is so layered and this last chapter is so clever, but my favorite line has to be "if I was any more relaxed, I'd be dead." That got a real laugh out of me :)

That was the first sexual scene I was able to read entirely through without feeling uncomfortable. I LOVE this story, and I was a little disappointed when I realized how it was ending ...but this was excellently written and I really enjoyed it. So bravo, to you and your incredible writing skills.
Author's Response: Megakel...I responded to someone else this same way, about the sex scene...ME TOO. I'm not gonna lie - I enjoy reading some good smut from time to time, but it often makes me uncomfortable as well. For some reason I thought it was necessary in this piece, though I've never really included it on any of my other stories on MTT. I'm glad it felt ok for you this time. :-)
