I read this last night on my cell phone so I didn't have a chance to post a review since I was pretty tired. I really loved the way that you've still kept the angst and tension even though they're both single now. Shortest marriage ever so sounds like something Michael would really say. I really find it interesting that he still seems so annoyed and angry with her (though maybe that's amplified because he's sick) but he still wants her to stay. I love how you have Pam telling herself to have more of a backbone, but when she says something it still doesn't come out the way she wanted it to. Very true to Pam in season 3. Looking forward to more updates!

Since I couldn't sleep, decided to read a fic and you got me hooked on this story!!! Keep on writing, you are doing an awesome job!

Well, definitely a good thing - Karen's not an issue. And I'm only assuming here by the way she's crying (one tear crying, still crying) that she's in fact still married to Roy. Well, that and the wishing she were with Jim. And I'm fairly concerned that Jim's contagious, and probably should be in the hospital. Or taking more Tylenol. Maybe both. Although this is the same day as the beginning of the story, so maybe I shouldn't be that worried. Great stuff here, as always! Can't wait to see what happens next!

The plot thickens!  Fever's gotta break at some point.  I'm looking forward to seeing what Jim's like then!

I got to read two chaps!  How did I miss 7?!  She married Roy?!  Did I know that?!  This is killing me, Kate, but I'm loving it.

Impressed with the speed of your posting, yes I am.

But I also am so impressed with how well you conveyed the feelings of Pam while using minimal dialog between she and Sick Jim. Awesome work, as usual.

Okay, so, one question down, Jim and Karen seem to have taken the trip to Kaputsville, which is great. But when Pam was in her head in this chapter trying to sort it all out, we got that Jim was free, but she also doesn't seem to have the thought process of a married woman? But she still speaks of marrying the wrong man? So, although one question is answered, I remain confused...

I'm looking forward to next week, Kate. Cause I KNOW you're not going to let me down; next chapter will be up by then, I'm sure.

This chapter is amazing, as always! We try to stay on our toes, but you seem to knock off our balance with each chapter you post.

I think this is my favorite, maybe-"She thinks if she touched his forehead with her fingers, he would be relieved by how cool they were. The temperature difference between them is so significant, she wonders if she were to press her body against his, if the equilibrium, the balance, would heal them both." What needs to happen is they should just wrap themselves around each other to harmonize their body temperature.

In my mind, Jim's "I missed you" seems forced out, like he's been wanting to say it and finally had to quickly get it out there before he lost his nerve. Makes me smile that she still has this hold on him :)

The last line makes me want to read this again (for the tenth time) to look for signs that she married Roy, or if she's still with him. Everything I'm remembering points to they're not still together... Right? Guess I'll find out within a week!

One nitpick: "Pam gets carefully gets out of the bed and draws the curtains closed in his room." There's an extra 'gets' in there.

Woah! You went AU on us! And I wasn't even wearing my seatbelt!

I love this story. Sad, sick Jim and nervous, insecure Pam make an amazing combination. I'm looking forward to the next update.

Okay, so I read this chapter. And then I had to walk away from my computer. Had a drink of water. Sent an email. Because I was physically incapable of writing a review that would be coherent. I will try now. --- At first I was like YAY she's staying! Then I was like YAY no Karen! And then those last seven words -- are you trying to kill me? Seriously? Other than the fact that your description is out of control good - I can actually see it all in my head. But she's married??!!! Did she divorce him? Is it annulled? Are they still married? Because if they're still married she has no right to feel all sorry for herself like she was in the beginning of the story and shouldn't be bringing him soup when he's sick and she definitely shouldn't be on his bed with him when she's married.

Yep. They're fictional. I know.

Do you hate me or something? I think you may have killed me. My chest hurts, and I'm hyperventilating a little. That was… I’m speechless. Firstly, sick Jim hurts my heart, but I love the idea of Pam being there to look after him. His admission to missing her? OMG seriously that was just brilliant. But the end? I think you’re purposely trying to kill each and every one of us off with your awesomeness. For the next week, you’re not allowed out. No cell phone, no T.V. I don’t want to see you posting on MTT – UNLESS IT’S THE NEXT CHAPTER. You hear me?

WOW - now, that's a cliffhanger! Please make Jim better soon - it hurts my heart when he's this sick. You're doing a great job with this story and I look forward to your next update...
