Nice chapter! I like getting a glimpse of the Halpert family's life beyond the one father-daughter relationship.
And, yes, it does catch your attention when the child stops saying Mommy and Daddy. It's a little bittersweet.
I haven't a clue about Ms. Melendy. I'll be interested to see who guesses correctly.

Guh, that was freaking adorable. I remember thinking how boys were gross, but Daddy was different, they're special.
I so lmao at Cecelia pulling a face at the boy. That is EXACTLY how I see her behaving in my head. These really are perfect.

A broad smile crept across my face as Cece "ran away" down to the end of the driveway...haven't we all done almost the very same thing. Such a perfect moment between Jim and his daughter!

just a question...whose wedding is this? I'm a little confused..
Author's Response: Pam's sister, Penny.
Like why a woman would choose to wear a wedding dress so voluminous, she required assistance from two bridesmaids just to use the restroom....But apparently, Penny didn’t share his opinion

aww... this brings back memories of dancing on my dad's feet.
i'm really loving this!

Aww. This is so adorable, as always. And yes, boys are very gross sometimes, yet it's typically not acceptable to make faces at them. Darn. Have I mentioned at any point in time that I really love this story? Well I do, so keep going!

Daddy Jim and Cece time is very sweet. I think my adoration of Doting Daddies should be well documented, so I want to leave you a thank you for giving us what the show does not... Quality Daddy Jim Time.

Awww Cece, running away to the end of the drive way. That has to be one of the cutest things I have ever read. I'm really loving these moments between Daddy and daughter. You're really capturing all those special and wonderful moments.
The fact that Jim can read his daughter so well, and that he managed to stay out of site, but keep an eye on her at the same time.... just ADORABLE!

Oh, Cece in this chapter reminds me SO much about me when I was a little kid. Very realistic and believable. I love how Jim had his eye on her the whole time, and the image of Cece making herself a sandwich and packing her backpack was so cute. Good for Jim putting his foot down with her. Can't wait for the next chapter! I'm loving this story!

Perfectly adorable, a very sweet image of father and daughter. Funny, too :D And, holy cow, twins?!

I LOVE THIS STORY!!!! That is the sweetest thing watching Cece ride away. To the end of the driveway. That was awesome! And so cute that there are twins around now! Great chapter(s) and I'll continue to love each and every one of these Jim/Cece anecdotes as long as you'll continue to humor me.

I'm really enjoying the Daddy's Girl series. This chapter brought back my running away from home tantrum. Mom helped me pack and I spent about an hour hiding (or so I thought) between our house and the neighbours. Can't for the life of me remember why I ran away though.
Really love these snippets of Daddy Jim.

I adore Cecelia and Jim's relationship, and I love that he knew she needed a little extra attention in this chapter.
This line, though? Pure comic genius!
No. No. If he dropped dead and made Pam a widow with three small children, she’d kill him.
This is such good cute fluff, I love it, and can't wait for age 7!

he should've let the painting!! she's an artist like her mom =)
Author's Response: Haha, very true, but I don't know many (any) parents who let their kids just draw on the walls. I'm working on having a balance between Cece having Jim wrapped around her little finger and Cece being spoiled. Jim's a sucker, but he's no fool.

Hands down, best chapter yet!!!!! You totally nailed this one. Jim knowing that Cece needed that reasurance and added attention now she's no longer and only child - but the whole sex thing? BRILLIANT!!!
And Cece's response was classic, it really was!!! Was kissing involved, seriously, if awards were given to fics, I'd be handing you an award right now!!!

Yet another winning scenario, ivy. "Stay up until this dump shines like the top of the Chrysler building?” LOL Very cute :D Makes we think of when my son was a little guy and used to repeat lines from Disney movies.

Wow! Cece, how could you? And with your father's masculinity intact? (That was a hilarious line, by the way.) I just loved this one - I think it's tied with chapter four... Ah, the Annie quote and the cute little punishment scene. This is amazing, andtheivy. You're so talented and clever! I'm looking forwards to age six.

That's officially the cutest thing on the planet - I LOVE CECE MARIE HALPERT!!!! My goodness that was awesome. A TWSS, a snake and a turtle all in one chapter - PLUS sexy daddy Jim? Life is too good to me. Amazing!

LOL!!! This reminds me of my little brother who did the exact same thing when he was 2 or 3, my mom and dad just painted the living room walls that was green. When my mom came in and screamed at the sight, my little brother said momma I drew on the wall, there were green scribbles all over the walls and even the windows, he tried to reached the highest he could. Apparently, I guess he wanted to help my parents.
