Oh, I love the use of parentheticals here. Very nice way to get into Pam's head.

Good to see something new from you, bashert! I've always wanted to tackle a summer-after-S2 fic. This bit of angst and uncertainty and Pam trying to hold her head up is much like I've imagined, especially the Black Days. Those details like Roy's mom calling over and over... guh. What hell our poor girl must've gone through. It's a wonder she didn't up and run away, too... even if "she was a fool for believing that if she left Scranton she could somehow leave behind being sad." Yeah.
Anyway, this was great. Hope to see you around some more this summer. :)

Hey, bashert! Welcome back. I enjoyed this much more than a little :) I can envision Pam trying to keep it together, trying to move on. Surely the office gossips must have been working overtime, and that couldn't have been easy. Seeing Roy every day must have been even worse. And no Jim to help her through the Black Days. *sigh* Fine job, my dear.

Beautiful. You have such a stunning way with words.

This is so amazing. I always think Pam must've had just the worst emotional roller coaster of an experience that summer, and it's actually so nice to read now, knowing she does ends up okay.
