This story makes you both laugh and cry! I love the misunderstanding! Great job!

Wow... Just read this and wanted to let you know it was really well done. Being a guy who has been in much the same position as Jim, I can tell you that you really nailed this one-the attempt at the veiled (or not so veiled) comment to let the other know how you feel, only to have it backfire.
Nicely done!

"It scared him how much he loved her, how each day that they didn’t talk felt like the worst day of his life over and over again." Wow, that was getting intense, but it is such a great line, one of the best I've read.
Looking at them now it's easy to forget the three years of anguish we fans went through. Even though I mostly read fluff I love a good angst piece, one that brings back the memories, gives you a twinge of sadness and makes you glad that we are seeing a lot less tears where Jam is concerned. This is one of those pieces.
Author's Response: Thanks, so much! I just started writing fanfic, and I found it incredibly fulfiling to write angst. So even though they're together now, I like bringing back the heartbreak for all of us from when they werent!

Ohh I did not expect the tears at the end. Very nice little twist :)
Author's Response: thanks! i wasn't sure if it was too corny, but i liked how it tied the story together so i figured it was okay :)
