I cannot wait to hear what happened with Jim and his wife! Have they really not seen each other in a year!?!? Why are they not divorced!!
So now that we have heard some about what Jim has been up to... I am hoping that it is going to be Pam's turn to spill. I love her confidence with Jim over dinner and then continued at the hotel.
Please don't leave us for so long! Missed you so much!

The adolescent shellshock falls away, and something else takes its place. He is abruptly, gratefully aware of his years and ability. His fingertips skate the length of her spine as he lowers his mouth to her neck, just under her jawline, and feels her breath catch.

Oh Happy Day! I've been waiting for this story to continue, as I've fallen in love with it. It was so worth the wait. I can't shake the feeling that I'm grateful some years have passed since Jim and Pam were at Dunder Mifflin and that they feel like "grown up" Jim and Pam now. Still timid around old habits they might fall into when it comes to each other, but both having done a lot of soul searching and maturing since then, so now less afraid about asking for what they want. You've drawn it out, though, at a deliciously perfect pace. Kudos for your playfulness and restraint at the same time (I could say the same for Jim). I totally get that he's in that place where he's triggered to hold himself back whenever he feels close to Pam, even after all these years. But she's giving him permission, even asking him to just let it go. How scary yet exhilerating that must be for him. I love your detail, like melting her body into like wax, and the way you include the way they're looking at each other. Please don't wait so long to update the next chapter. I don't think I could take it. Thanks for not giving up on this story! It's one of my favorites and it's not even finished.

Despite the fact that you're a tease, this was worth every minute of waiting--a delicious, meaty portion of tense museum slash pub slash hotel room love in all it's gooey wonder =) It's sad how ecstatic I was to see this update. Really. I've been thinking of this story every day since your last update and had all but given up hope. I'm just thrilled that you continued with it.
I was holding my breath, waiting to find out about Karen. I'm so relieved to hear that that relationship is very nearly a thing of the past. Whew.

Why do I feel like I'm on a rollercoaster and we've just completed the gear grinding, slow ride to the top of the structure and there's that pause as you cross the threshold of the peak...
My favorite part, because I could hear Jim saying this so very clearly:
“I really am a monk these days,” he says. “You have no idea. It’s probably for the best if you just forget it. I’ve had an unbelievably crap year; if you said something truly dirty, it would probably stop my heart.” He takes another sip of wine. “Don’t let that trouble you, of course.”

I sometimes have a hard time getting into stories that either take Jim and Pam out of the context of Scranton or have them meet up years later, but... you've got me with this one, especially after they just kind of went for it in this chapter. haha :) I love the descriptions and little details; everything is really vivid. Jim's inner monologue is also really well done, and I'm so looking forward to seeing where you take this. Awesome job :)

Pam and Jim in my favourite city in the entire world? Now, that's amazing. Love the tension and the fact that they're slowly realising that they need to figure out what exactly is going on between the two of them (even though that's fairly obvious to the readers.) Can't wait to see what happens next!
