This was too cute. I really enjoyed it. I know I always say this, but you write Jim so well, it's like you're inside his head. Keep 'em coming!
Author's Response: Thanks! Happy you liked it, and thanks for the compliment. For some reason I find it easy to write Jim. Maybe I'm just a little too sarcastic like he is lol For me it's easier to get into his head than it is to get into Pam's for me. I tend to make her a little over dramatic at times. Anyways, happy you liked this one! :)

"...his greatest fear is that it’ll all go by so fast – that if he blinks long enough, his daughter will be standing at their front door with his car keys in her hand, promising him she’ll be careful, that she’ll call when she reaches her destination."
This part reminds me so much of that commercial where the guy is sending off his daughter to drive alone for the first time and she's still about six years old in his mind. :)
Author's Response: That commercial is so sad. I think all father's never really fully accept it when their kids become adults. Dwight's line when he's holding the plant and says, "we could talk about how fast kids grow up, and before you know it they're out of the house..." or something like that was the inspiration for that part of the story. I'm so happy that you're enjoying these! :)

Do I tell you enough just how awesome you are? I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am you're writing these again this season. That was so cute. I love how you write Cece, so exactly how I imagine her in my head.
I lol'd so hard at Pam, “We should be good parents and say something about her being able to count to ticks." I could totally hear that in my head.
Seriously, thanks so much for taking the time to write these. They are a highlight of my week that's for sure xx
Author's Response: Aw! Thanks so much :) Writing Cece isn't too easy, but I'm hoping that it's coming across that she's a little bit of both of them. And I had a laugh while writing that line for Pam, I thought it was something she might say. I'm happy to know you look forward to these! Highlight of your week, that's big! Thanks so much :)

So happy you are going to do this again. Great start! Any insight into this couple is always a treat. Can't wait for more.
Author's Response: Thank you! It's fun imagining things they do after work together. Glad you're liking these! :)

Very sweet! I hope you do something like Harmony for season 8. Keep'um coming!
Author's Response: Thanks! This will be like Harmony, except I'm going to do a finale one this time. I still kick myself for not doing that last time. Glad you're enjoying! :)

Oh, this was perfect. Everything. Seriously. On top of the different emotions and insights from Jim, there were so many little details that just made this great.
And I don't know why, but I loved this image:
her glasses halfway down her nose, her hair in a messy bun, wearing the t-shirt he bought her that reads, “Hands Off,” across her belly. Before her on the table is the creation she’s apparently very pleased about, her smile wide and her eyes focused
I guess because I sometimes forget that they don't always wear work clothes? Haha. Still, though, such a sweet image of him walking in to check on her.
I'm so glad to see that you're doing these for this season. :)
Author's Response: Thank you! I came up with the hands off shirt idea after hearing a pregnant woman complaining to her husband about random old ladies coming over to touch her belly. I thought Pam would feel the same way. Glad you liked that and the description too. I know, it's difficult to imagine Jim wearing jeans and Pam in sweats, so I'm happy that it came out well. I'm happy that you'll be following this! Thanks so much. I'll try my best to have weekly updates. :)

Dudette, I loved loved loved this. I have been SO excited to read your episode related stories ever since I found out you were going to write them, and you did not let me down. Everything about this was wonderfully perfect. The way Jim needed to escape before Cece saw him, the tears literally killing him, him giving her something fun to do to take her mind off of everything... I could go on.
love LOVE LOVE
Author's Response: Thank you :) I promise to get more of Cece in the upcoming ones. I just have to figure out how to accurately portray an 18 month old's speech pattern lol I'm so happy to see you like all of the things I put into this one. :) Stay tuned for weekly updates!

So nice. You really know how to capture Jim & Pam -- I'm sure that really happened. :-)
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I can't tell you how much that means, that you think it really happened. I really try to make it authentic feeling so that's really great to hear. :)

That was sweet. I love having a glimpse into their family life. I know how you feel about writing, I'm stuck with my current WIP, as well. Hang in there, you'll get out of the funk!
Author's Response: Thank you! I hope you continue to like these :) I'm hoping to have one up here every week. Yeah, I'm working ideas out with Callisto now on the other story. If you need any help with yours just let me know :)

I love post-episode one shots. We'll really need them once Jenna (oops...Pam) has the baby and is absent for a while!
And count me in with the ones who thought the list was, in fact, cheesy-- but in a totally Jim way that was adorable.
If you'd like someone to bounce ideas around for your unfinished fic, feel free to PM me. :)
Author's Response: Thanks so much callisto! I love post episode one shots too, and I'm looking forward to giving a glimpse of their life at home once Pam is on maternity leave. I'm not looking forward to her being away from the show though lol I'm so happy that you'll be following these :) (and thanks for the help with the other story, you're awesome!)

Yippee!!!! Great job, Danielle. So happy to have a new series from you to look forward to!
She whispers, “I love you. I love you, for that list you left and for giving me something to do tonight and for giving me a purpose. I don’t know where I would be without you.” *sigh* Soupsnakes <3
Author's Response: Thank you :) That line was a last minute addition, I'm so happy you liked it! I have a good feeling about this season. Hope you like these! I'll have it updated weekly as best I can. :)

Awesome! I really like these types of stories ,first person, internal monologue, angst etc. and I must say you are just getting BETTER at it with each story you write! Keep it up!
Not to mention you helping me register so I can write reviews. :)
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you were able to register without any issue :) Thanks so much for the lovely compliment too! Hope you enjoy these weekly installments.
