Okay, you've made me realize that my JAM obsession is definitely Jim-centric. You teased me with one brief chapter inside his brain, but enough with the torment! I miss him! I miss their real interactions! This projected stuff is just not enough for me! You're killin' me Smalls! :)
Author's Response: Hah, whereas you can probably tell that mine is slightly more Pam-centric, hence the Pam-centric fic. I hope you enjoyed this next chapter that I just wrote after this, because it's basically double length and it's all inside Jim's head.

Yey amazing as always!!
Author's Response: Thank you! I appreciate your reading it.

Love this! Keep it up. The daily updates are great.
Author's Response: Thanks! I try very hard to keep to a fast update schedule (though of course as I say that I'm probably going to miss this weekend before updates resume).
Date: June 05, 2018 07:34 pm Title: June 11: The Cafeteria
Lol! These two are going to have so much fun being sisters!
Author's Response: I can't imagine anyone not enjoying having Pam as a sister--I'm glad you think Pam would also enjoy my version of Larissa :-D

Omg this is great! I sure you've already thought about it, but it would be great to read a part where Pam talks to Jim whilst he's in the coma and then hear from his perspective in the coma (a dream or something)! Keep up the good work!
Author's Response: Thanks! That is going to happen, and technically has happened if you look for her "I did" in his dream.
Date: June 04, 2018 06:38 am Title: Interlude II: Jim's Head
Oooh I love this. I would not be opposed to more of these “in Jim’s Head” chapters because you write it so well. The dreaming and his working through his emotions within the dream are great.
Author's Response: Thanks! I think there will be one more interlude before Jim wakes up.
Date: June 03, 2018 10:46 am Title: June 11: Jim's Room
I really love your creativity with pams art in the previous chapter.
It saddens me that Pam is so hard on herself, putting so much blame on herself. But I do think at this time and especially in this situation it’s in character. Not that I agree with her but it’s just who she is.
Author's Response: Thanks! Don't worry, Jim will come in for his own guilt trip soon enough from all and sundry! I think at this point that Pam and Jim both need to get out of their own heads--I've given Pam Larissa for that, as we'll see soon, but Jim's still locked in there.

Love this story so much!
Author's Response: Thanks!
Date: May 31, 2018 05:17 pm Title: June 11: Jim's Unit
I love the choices you’re making here! I think that I stories like this there’s always a rush to wake the injured party up so that there can be some dialogue, and I appreciate you taking your time to get Jim conscious. I love Pam’s inner monologue-dialogue-and I think it’s really fitting for what we know of her characterization. Can’t wait for more!
Author's Response: Thanks! I think Jim will wake up on the 11th of June, but there may be a lot of June 11 in the story before he does. I didn't realize when I started doing the chapters by date how much they would overlap. Oh well...
Date: May 31, 2018 05:14 pm Title: Interlude: In Jim's Head
Oooh this chapter gave me chills. I appreciate that you didn’t give him an inner monologue or make it si that he’s aware of Pam being there. I love it. On to the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks! He will definitely develop something more like an inner monologue or dreams next time we drop in on him, but I definitely wanted to convey that while he's not dead he's definitely very out of it.
Date: May 30, 2018 07:47 pm Title: June 11: Jim's Unit
I’ve always felt Pam was the type to have a million different thoughts in her head about one situation or many all at the same time. And she’s able to see and understand many sides of a situation which is why she’s the sweet caring compassionate woman we all adore.
In jims head is a lot like my migraines, poor guy.
Author's Response: I hope your migraines aren't as bad as Jim's car accident, but that was the effect I was going for so I'm glad it worked. And yeah, Pam's always going a mile a minute inside, but slow as molasses outside, so that's what I'm trying to convey with all the bold and italic in that chapter.
Date: May 29, 2018 09:15 pm Title: Interlude: In Jim's Head
Okay, I'm just hyperventilating a tiny bit. Wake up Jim!
Author's Response: He will soon! Although these recoveries are often slow...
Date: May 29, 2018 06:23 pm Title: June 10-11: Relaxation Room
Aww, I love Pan wanting to take care of both Jim and Larissa. I also love the small details that make the characters seem even more real - like Pam getting them lost on the way to the relaxation room.
Author's Response: Thanks! Pam does have that aspect to her personality, doesn't she? Taking care of others is among her favorite things.

While out on a drive today we were listening to Lithium radio and we heard the story behind A Long December and I thought of this story immediately.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Long_December
I really love these last two chapters. No doubt in my mind that Pam and Larissa would have a great bond in most any circumstance.
I’m selfishly quite fine with jim taking time to recover for more Pam and Larissa time. Also, his reaction to their closeness will be worth the wait :)
Author's Response: Yeah, I think Jim's going to have an interesting time dealing with Larissa and Pam together (not together together, but you know). And yeah, I can see why that story would remind you of this! Also, that's a legitimately crazy story.
Date: May 28, 2018 01:22 pm Title: June 10: Still in Jim's Room
Finally got caught up on this and it keeps getting better and better! I love how you had Pam describe herself and Larissa is definitely growing on me. I laughed when she admitted that everyone who knows Jim knew about his feelings for Pam before Pam did, and I loved her just coming out and saying that she already likes Pam. This friendship feels natural, despite the circumstances they're in.
I can't wait to see what happens next!
Author's Response: Thank you! Glad you caught up, and I'm very glad Larissa is growing on you. It's a hard line to walk between too much bonding and too much ignoring Jim, so I'm glad it's working for you.
Date: May 27, 2018 05:40 pm Title: June 10: Still in Jim's Room
These last two chapters, where Pam described herself and then Larissa describes Jim, are just so beautiful. I’ve never heard someone describe the way they see the world the way that Pam does, and i think it’s so fitting of her. And I love getting to see more of Larissa and have her fleshed out as a character. Head canon on Larissa Halpert thanks to Comfect officially accepted. Great great great job.
Author's Response: Thank you. I've been really worried about the characterization in these chapters, so this is good to hear.
Date: May 25, 2018 06:46 pm Title: June 10: Back at the Hospital
I like the idea of getting to know Larissa first, since she’s such a blank slate in that we know next to nothing about her. So I appreciate your decision to not have Jim wake up immediately upon Pam’s arrival in the hospital room. I think Pam could have very much benefited from someone to talk to after breaking off her wedding...maybe Larissa is that person? However you chose to write it, I am excited!
Author's Response: Thank you. When do you think Jim should wake up? It feels both like a copout and a necessary story element to wake him up soonish.
Date: May 25, 2018 11:44 am Title: June 10: At the Hospital
I’m so excited to see where this goes! I love Larissa’s characterization so far and the internal struggle that Pam had with trying to call Jim—that’s something I think she would have done a hundred times over that summer. Can’t wait for your next update!
Author's Response: Thanks! I'll try to keep the updates flowing.

I feel just awful, I only just discovered this today! I’ve been doing heavy research on a massive project for our Instagram account that is kept me away from the recent section for a while now and you’ve managed to put three chapters without me knowing... what the heck! (And Twitter still isn’t working!) Sorry, bit of a rant there in my review...
Anyway I’m a sucker for this type of story, always, I could read a million of them and they’ll never get old and you are off to a great start. That first chapter almost felt like I was in her mind and I think you captured the jumbled mess that was her head quite well. And I’m so glad you made the choice to have jims other family and friends (in)conveniently away, I’m really looking forward to Larissa and Pam getting to know each other a little better.
Author's Response: No reason to feel awful! I'm very glad you're coming along with me for this ride now (and I'm excited about a "massive project" for Instagram). Let me know how you feel about the Larissa/Pam dynamics as we keep going.
Date: May 23, 2018 03:01 pm Title: June 10: Pam's Apartment
I love it! Really glad to see someone tackling this topic from the opposite perspective. And I love the twist that puts Jim's parents out of the country.
P.S. If we don't find out what happened to him in the next chapter I will be very sad!!
Author's Response:
Thanks! I really like limiting the characters I have to write, so that was a self-serving choice there ;).
P.S. We'll get more detail going forward, but I do hope chapter 2 kept you from being very sad.

This is so well done. I always enjoy getting to know Larissa. It is satisfying to avoid the pain and devastation that the transfer to Stamford caused both of them. But now the suspense is thick with what is to come. You've got me! Keep it coming!
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm looking forward to building up Larissa a bit more as a character, so it may be a little before we get Jim's perspective on that transfer, but I will get there, I promise.

OK wow!!! I'm REALLY excited about this one. I really enjoy these hospital stories like Cardiac Care and The Waiting plus Pacific and a few others. You write so well and have such a great imagination I seriously cannot wait to see where you'll take us with this. You have a really great start here. I always feel like in the first chapter it's so important to catch the reader's attention and get them pumped up and excited for the rest of the story right off and you did that. I was worried as the chapter was winding down that you were going to end it without anything about Jim in it and was relieved and excited about the phone call. I'm so glad that Larissa is calling Pam and can't wait for Larissa to hear that Anderson isn't going to happen. Of course im MUCH more excited for Jim to find that out.
I have to say, often when a story that excites me gets started my excitement gets pushed down a lot because so many stories happen so slowly or have an exciting chapter or two then stop. You have a wonderful, amazing history with seeing all your stories all the way through and manybe more exciting, updating quickly. I cannot thank you enough for these things. SO, now I'll sit back, try to be patient and settle in for another wonderful story experience from you! CAN'T WAIT!!
Author's Response: Thanks so much for your encouraging comments! I'll do my best to keep both the quality and the pace of updates on this up.

I don’t know what it says about me that I love a good angsty hospital story, but I am already here for this. Big time.
I think you nailed what Pam would have been feeling that day but I especially love that you have her a feeling a bit of anger toward Jim for bolting the way he did. And that cliffhanger, well, that was just rude.
I can’t wait to see what Larissa has to say!
Author's Response: Thanks! I look forward to hearing what you think of my Larissa (and the story as it goes forward).

OH yes. Hospital Jam. You are my hero. And, knowing how great your stories typically are, I have no doubt that this will be amazing. Can’t wait for more!
Author's Response: You have your own Hospital JAM fic I love, you know ;). Thanks!
Date: May 21, 2018 01:01 am Title: June 10: Pam's Apartment
Well I already love it and can't wait for more! You capture everything I imagine Pam was feeling on June 10, a mix of frustration and anger with sadness and fear. And I love that you're taking on a hospital story! My only complaint is the cliffhanger you left us on here! ;-)
Author's Response:
Sorry about the cliffhanger, but I assure you we will move on quickly ;). Thanks for this, and I hope you enjoy the story that comes out of it.
