I'm so used to see their adventures together, that even a couple days of Pam and Jim being apart feeling... off.
I hope they'll meet soon! And I also hope that 'school days' will be nice :)
Author's Response: That's fair! Don't worry, they're back now...thanks!

Can't go wrong with a classic Dunkin meet up!
Author's Response: Right? Very normal. Very classic.

Yeah, nice getting back type of chapter. I'm sure there will apartment hunting in the works for Pam here soon. Although the thought of Dunkin' for breakfast does sound lovely.
Great that they can continue their banter over the phone like this.
Author's Response: Indeed there will. Thank you!

Nice, glad they're coming home. Also good to know that this won't take nearly as long as getting there ;)
Author's Response: Not nearly! Thank you!

There is a feeling when summer is over, and you have to be back at school or the uni, but the memories of vacation are too fresh, and they only make you realize that it was fun, but it's over now.
I have that feeling right now, and it hurts.
But the line 'He was just going to be happy' is a nice cure from my distress :)
Author's Response: Yep. That's relevant to my experience writing it as well. But hopefully the "school year" will be good too! Thank you!
Date: May 09, 2020 07:54 pm Title: Chapter 63: Flights
Yeah, good choice to skip through the flights. Especially since there's not the whole specter of running away from Pam or dear-God-I-hope-I-find-Jim.
They're at peace, they're in love, and they're together. What's a day apart while flying back to the States in comparison to that?
Author's Response: Yeah. Not much to do there. Thanks!

Really looking forward to the back in Scranton stuff coming up, Australia's been fun, but the rest of the ensemble could use some love!
Author's Response: Thank you! I hope it will live up to it.
Date: May 09, 2020 12:34 pm Title: Chapter 62: Pool
Oh, I hope that this little 'swimsuit' exchange resolved all remained Booze Cruise issues!
And that Jim had another chance to see Pam's polka dot two pieces (I suppose, it's one of her remained swimsuits, right?)
Lovely as ever!
Author's Response: I think it did. Thank you! And yes, I'm sure he will get a chance (though maybe not in this fic explicitly).

Oh I loved that Pam bought a more conservative swim suit for the booze cruise. That totally tracks. Although, given the time of year, a wetsuit wouldn’t have been a terrible idea! I also love that she opted to wear it, as the more sentimental choice, with Jim.
All your talk about how moderate the weather is in Sydney in winter - it wouldn’t feel that way to the poor Australians. I can’t stand winter! It’s far too cold. Sydney in winter is absolutely freezing*
*to me, who finds anything less than 20 degrees celsius far, far too cold.
Author's Response:
Thank you! I appreciate that you liked that detail!
And the average temp in Scranton in February is about half the temp in Sydney in June...so I think he'd find it moderate as can be for winter.

The bit with Kelly’s swim suit being a bit less made me grin, so I can understand why Jim and Pam would.
A fun and flirty chapter that made me smile :)
Author's Response: Thank you!

The copier, right. Don't you mean the reception desk? Reviewing as I read here so there might be something later on I haven't read, but we'll get to that in time.
Love that even after their intimate times together at this point, Jim is still entranced by the thought of Pam in a swimsuit. Lovely detail.
Again a nice way of bandaging the hurts of the past with Pam explaining her choice of swimwear. I really like that even though it's still a new dating relationship, they still have years of prior friendship to fall back on which makes things fun.
I also have this image of Pam looking up at Jim during that conversation and at the end Jim jumping over her head and landing in the pool in a cannonball right next to her simply for the five year old joy of it. After all I think I read somewhere that according to man law, a man never enters a pool by the stairs or the ladder. But that's me.
Great job as always.
Author's Response: I mean, the copier is right past the reception desk...and thank you! I think Jim would wait for her at least, so that he wouldn't splash her too much.

Nice and fluffy!
Jellybeans!
Author's Response: Thank you!
Date: May 08, 2020 04:03 pm Title: Chapter 61: It's All About the Climb
I’ll give Sydney that, the bridge climb is pretty fun. Although, it definitely would be even more fun with Pam’s view!
This was beautiful, their thoughts about love and almost needing another deeper term to describe it coupled with the easiness they feel with each other. So very sweet.
Author's Response: Thank you!

That last line, you did it again. Seriously all my co-workers are going to think me even more crazy than they already do. I mean seriously, where do you come up with this stuff?
Beyond that. I love the fact that they have that familiarity with their area of Sydney now. Reminds me of the time I spent in Greece back in college. The first few and last few days were in Athens and it very much was the same for the group I was with. Places we liked, landmarks we used to navigate, all that kind of stuff. Nice job there.
They've both grown a lot in their time in Syndey. It's been a joy to watch.
Author's Response: Hah. Gotcha! Thank you! And yeah, it reminded me of my time studying abroad too, that is in fact why I wrote it!
Date: May 07, 2020 08:05 pm Title: Chapter 61: It's All About the Climb
I feel like I've said it all before at this point, but I'll say it again.
Your writing is great as usual, and the fluff continues to be very sweet.
Author's Response: Thank you! I try to please, and fluff is a specialty.
Date: May 07, 2020 07:49 pm Title: Chapter 61: It's All About the Climb
I just looked up that climb and there's no way I could do that! Even the sampler!
Author's Response: Yeah, it's a lot isn't it? Thanks for reading!

This:
"Instead they found themselves eating street food again under the stars by the Anzac Memorial, trading quips and thoughts about the day and just generally enjoying each others’ company. This was what she’d wanted, she thought, from a real adult relationship. Not just the sex (though she was not adverse to heading back to the hostel soon); not just the kisses (though the boat had been a very good idea); not just someone who loved and supported her (though Jim did and it was like breathing after too long underwater), but a relationship where she could be entirely herself and be sure that the other person was being himself too."
If you find yourself with someone like this, stop what you are doing and marry that someone!
Such a sweet summary of who what these two are to each other, in my mind. Nice job capturing it in words.
Thanks for writing!
Author's Response: Thank you! That is how I feel too--so I'm glad it worked for you.

Roy wearing a hoodie becoming a kangaroo got a chuckle, that was just entirely unexpected, good job.
Looking forward to your take on the greatest hits of AUS3, that sounds interesting. It'll be nice to be back in the office with these two.
Author's Response: Thank you!

I’m with Jim, I want a pet wombat! They’re quicker than they look though, and stronger so there’s no catching one...
I’d love to see those caricatures! That’s a very fun idea.
Plenty of sweet moments throughout this chapter too, as always.
Author's Response: If I could draw, I'd make them. But I can't. Thank you!
Date: May 07, 2020 01:33 am Title: Chapter 60: Drawings
Oh, I'm happy so much to see them so carefree! And Pam's creativity - she held it back for too long. Unleash all you have, Pam.
Also, Jim's fondness of wombats is cute :)
Also, I'm wondering (and I guess it'll keep me busy the rest of the day) about the rest of the coworkers (as well as Pam and Jim themselves). Perhaps, Kevin could be drawn as a quokka, Oscar as a kestrel, Meredith as a frogmouth... and Jim and Pam would be a couple of penguins. Some time ago, I saw a photo of two penguins watching the Melbourne skyline together, and they were so unbelievably sweet that I instantly remembered them reading this chapter.
Though, it would also be nice to see Jim the Sea Lion in Pam's style :)
Author's Response: Thank you! I agree with your suggestions; Creed, I think, would be simply Creed. Because I think there is no animal that could be him.
Date: May 06, 2020 09:36 pm Title: Chapter 60: Drawings
Jim's thoughts about all the different animals was great. However, yeah listen to Pam there. Don't go taking the animals back home.
Pam was wonderful here. Thanks for the explination of how she has so many notebooks. I was about to comment on that until you cleared it up.
I love that they are just themselves. They can relax, have fun, and enjoy each other's company. It's a joy to read. Same thing with all the DM co-workers as animals. Jim and Pam are often at their best when having fun and this is no different.
Okay so with all that's left in this story, and based on how things have been so far, that's what, another 20 chapters or so? Not complaining mind, you.
Author's Response: Thank you! I think it's probably more like 10, but I'm not putting a number on it because it depends on my enthusiasm for the story.

First off, I'm so glad these two got a "re do" of their time on the boat. Very sweet.
Second, koalas are so strange. But I enjoyed learning about them. I really feel like I'm going on a tour of Sydney here! Thanks for writing and the virtual tour with two of my favorite characters!
Author's Response: Thank you! That is one of my goals, really glad it's coming through.
Date: May 06, 2020 03:46 am Title: Chapter 59: Koalas!
In response to your response to my previous review. I quite like Melbourne - mostly because my grandparents lived there so it reminds me of Christmas and family.
Sydney is all potholes and toll roads - would not recommend driving through it, ever.
My favorite capital city is Darwin, because I’m from nearish there. Plus, I love the heat & it’s a tropical city. Adelaide would probably be my next fave, it’s a bit underrated. It’s got a beautiful coast.
Brisbane I also have a soft spot for - I’ve lived there before & I’m pretty close to it presently.
Essentially though, there’s two sides to Australia - Sydney & Melbourne are their own hipstery thing, & there’s the rest of us, with a far more country vibe. It breaks my heart when tourists only make it to Sydney/Melbourne - there’s so much more to see. The outback is truly what makes Australia...
Enough of that tangent. Onto the story!
Well, this was all kinds of adorable! I love a good koala. Jim naming his Dwight was delightful - an insult to koalas the world over.
Author's Response:
Thank you! I appreciate the mini-reviews. If I ever get a chance to travel there...sigh.
And thank you!

Oh my gosh, that was wonderful! This chapter is the first thing I read in the morning and it gave me a lot of 'awww's and giggles.
And now I'm stuck. Stuck with the image of Dwight, cuddling with branches and chewing leaves melancholically. I'm not sure I could erase it from my brain, but that's fine :)
Thank you!
Author's Response: Thank you! I liked that image too... a lot.

Dwight the Koala! Jellybeans
Author's Response: Thanks!
