One bed! Two characters! AKA the dream! Seriously, please, please, please for the sake of my trope loving heart have them wake up wrapped up in one another... Or not, you do you. Whatever it is, I’m sure it will be just perfect - much like this chapter. Also, I feel you on the time zones, it’s the worst. We’re just in a whole other world (the future) down here.
Author's Response: I hope this satisfied your trope love, as it did mine. Thank you, O future one, for your review!

Wait, wait, wait... So, are they actually going to spend their first night together sleeping? Hold on, I need to celebrate that!
*rising a mug, dancing dance and scaring a cat in the process*
Also, I like Jim's book preferences :) And the thing that both of them didn't know what time/date is - that's so, so relatable...
Excellent chapter, fantastic story and I'm dying to see what happens next :)
Author's Response: Maaaaaaaaaybe. Though technically this is their second night dating ;). Thank you!

Jellybean!

Ah, a little resume massage never hurt anybody! It'll be interesting to see how they rope Ryan into the plan, looking forward to that.
I enjoyed the date and time discussion. As someyeho has trouble with timezones just in North America, I can relate to that sentiment.
Looking forward to more, keep up the good work. You are always out with an update before reading in bed for me, so I really appreciate it.
Author's Response: I hope this most recent one managed to hit your bedtime still, even if it was a bit late! Thanks :)

Another sit back and grin chapter. Sports references, paraphrasing civics lessons, Star Wars, all wrapped up with adorable JAM-ness, what's not to love?
Sleep tight you two. You've got the rest of forever to plot and scheme.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed, and I hope you like the next one too!

I feel like I’ve said this before, but Ryan is definitely the most logical substitute/sacrifice. Although, I wouldn’t want to be Pam or Jim if/when Kelly figures out the hand they had in it... I would want to a fly on the wall for it though, if you needed future chapter suggestions...
Author's Response: He really is. Hopefully this works out, and...yeah, they might need to duck when Kelly finds out. Thanks!

Go, Ryan, go! Ang oh my gosh, I'm so in love with the way they acted when they're up to something! Is there something that could stop 'Team Jam'? I doubt it.
'I always choose you, Halpert.'
Awwww. Just awwww.
Author's Response: Thank you!

I feel like Ryan would have been good at Jan's job if he didn't get caught up in the drugs. It'll be interesting to see you spin him into the ARM job.
I can already see the easy sell to Ryan now: There is no clingy Kelly in Stamford, and mo money.
Looking forward to more!
Edit: big thumbs little buttons strikes again.
Author's Response: I think you're right. But then again, drugs are a danger to him at Stamford too...thank you for the review!

Giapetto?! Giapetto and Pinocchio is a perfect metaphor for how Michael views his relationship with Ryan!
Good to see Jim and Pam collaborating again, and this time for the benefit of their relationship together. Love their last two comments to each other. I'm never disappointed when I read an update on this story! Thanks for writing!
Author's Response: Thank you! I thought it was apt too :)

Did you just in one fell swoop solve many of the issues that plagued DM Scranton in S3? Lets see, provided this works, it means Jim stays so that's a fix. Jim gets his desk back, also a fix. We get rid of Ryan, who has always been a bit of a jerk so that's a fix. So yeah, that fixes a lot. Well done.
Love that Jim was able to focus and get this plan in motion. When Jim puts his mind to it, good things usually happen and that comes off well here. Even better with Pam at his side for it all.
Author's Response: I mean, it may take several swoops to make it actually happen but yes, I think that would solve a lot of S3--though what will happen when the branches remerge? Thank you for the review!

“As a temp or as a real boy?”
I laughed out loud at this line! So funny.
As always, awesome updates to keep us going. I'm thoroughly enjoying them!
Author's Response: Thank you! I enjoyed that line :)

Oooh, I wonder what Jim is up to! It seems promising!
There’s plenty of sorting through the what’s not going to work here. All very logical and delightfully in character. I like that Pam is distracted by other things, not just Stamford looming over them.
Author's Response: Thank you! I hope the solution works for you like it does for me!

I hope he really found something useful in these mails!
Oh, a little funny thing I noticed: just a previous day Pam wasn't ready to move after Jim, and now she made plans on how to replace Polly. That's the power of love!
Author's Response: Thank you for taking that as the power of love and not an error ;). I do think she's evolving there though, now that she's realizing what being with Jim really means for her. Thanks for the review!

What Pam needs to do is take that internship in NY, since it’s closer to Stamford.
Can’t wait to read what Jim printed out.
Jellybean!!
Author's Response: That is a good idea. Thanks for the review!

Why do I feel like the Polly section was aimed at me 😂. Looking forward to seeing how Jim jimmies the paperwork to get out of this one.
Author's Response:
Let's not say aimed at: let's say inspired by. I hadn't thought of it, and I wanted to dismiss it so I could get to what I had thought of (it was a good idea though!). Thanks :)

I'm excited to see what Jim found!! I hope they're able to find a solution!!
Author's Response: I think they did, but I look forward to your feedback on it!

Good for Jim to keep looking in at this. I've got a feeling he'll have something up his sleeve. When Jim really puts his mind to something it usually pays off well. Can't wait to see what he'd got figured out.
Good introspection from Pam too. I love that she's trying to find a solution as well. And it's not, just, so she doesn't feel odd about inviting Jim into her room with the specter of Stamford. It's also because she really cares for him and I love that.
Author's Response: Thank you! I hope you find this appropriate to the situation.

Comfect, you’ve already won me over with this story, there’s no need to throw in a reference to second drinks and stolen kisses... But you did & it worked & now I love this story all the more!
Author's Response: But what if I wanted to reference those things for myself? Thank you!
Date: April 17, 2020 11:41 pm Title: Chapter 41: The Rest of Dinner
You mean this story will continue while we wait for a resolution to this situation. And all the while Jim and Pam continue to act cute and openly in love with each other. Oh horror of horrors, whatever shall we do?
Seriously though, nice to have some talk about the Stamford question. Also nice that Pam remembers the Chili's kiss. It was always a cute moment and it's nice to know she remembers it.
Author's Response:
Haha. I mean, it's coming around the corner, but it's definitely nowhere near over.
And thanks!

I’m so looking forward to finding out what happens with Stamford! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed their date and just KNEW Jim was going to go buy her a ring a few chapters ago. I loved that look into his reasons for doing so! Excellent as always, Comfect!
Author's Response: Thank you! I really appreciate that, especially coming from you!

That's a shame that Dwight's sacrifice won't work :( Hey, maybe they take Ryan instead? He's fancy enough for Stamford...
Anyway, can't wait till morning to see what happens next!
Author's Response: Yeah, but what would this hypothetical S3 be without Dwight? Thanks for the review!
Date: April 17, 2020 03:51 am Title: Chapter 40: Dinner
Talking about it, and talking about it in a way that isn’t all that angsty - that works for me!
The only logical(ish) swap I can fathom is Ryan, but even that’s a stretch. I do wonder what the actual solution you’ll come up with will be...
Author's Response: I do have one in mind, but it may or may not feel reasonable; hopefully I'll make it work. Thanks for the review!

Jellybean!!! And now I have a craving for cherry coke
Author's Response: Thank you! And so do I (maybe minus the vodka).

Thanks for not leaving us hanging with the whole Stamford thing. While it's been fun to see them out and about, it's their biggest issue right now and one that's not going away anytime soon. So yeah, good to see them talking about it.
Other than that, delightful banter between the two of them. The open flirtation is a lot of fun. Also nice that they can now transition to a more serious topic without losing a feeling of togetherness.
Author's Response: I mean, it'll take a bit to resolve, but it's important to keep them at least a little on topic. Thanks for the review!
