I really didn’t think you would set them up at the same hostel. But I love it! Love how you tied it to the German tourists. Can’t wait to read what happens next
Author's Response: Thank you! I planned that for a while, so I'm glad it came as a surprise :) hopefully a good one.

Once a jolly Swagman camped by a billabong.
Under the shade of a coolibah tree.
And he sang as he sat and waited 'till his billy boiled.
You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda with me.
Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda,
You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda with me.
And he sang as he sat as he waited 'till his billy boiled.
You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda with me.
Great song. Which I in no way shape or form have listened to quite a few (dozen) times for research purposes for one of my own stories. *shift eyes around for one of the other constant reviewers on this site*
Anyway, I digress. Great banter between them. As good as your introspection is, the playful and teasing banter we have on display is just as good. Great to see them having fun like this.
Author's Response: I wonder what story? Thanks for the review! I enjoyed the banter, so I'm glad it's working for other people.

Haha, two people, one hostel is definitely something. It could be a whole new trope on its own...
This was a super sweet chapter. Their teasing banter is spot on. I love how they’re talking about serious types of things, but the humor is still there. Just lovely.
Author's Response: It could be...we'll see what I do with it. Thank you for the review, I really appreciate what you had to say there :)

I knew it! Knew it!
*repeat the kitchen jig*
And I'm very curious about how do you play out this trope :)
Oh, and this direct side of Pam is a little bit scary. Nice and thrilling, but still scary...
I'm excited to see what happens next!
Author's Response: Good guess! I'm glad you're enjoying! And this will stay T-for-Teen, but I do promise there will be Implications down the line

The exact same hostel? 🤣 This is great. Love it
Author's Response: Somehow yes! Thank you :)

I suspected, and was correct! It's a small world after all.
I really liked the banter this chapter. Tired Pam is always cute.
Author's Response: Good guess! I really wanted to tell all of you who guessed it that you were right, but I figured finding out would be more fun. Thanks for the review!

Love the Jim face at the end there. Also glad the suspicions proved correct about their accommodations. Nice set up earlier. I foresee the payoff to be delightful.
Pam getting Jim all flustered was all sorts of adorable. I mean just how many times can she knock his socks off? What are we up to now? Three? Four? Is there a Guinness World Record of Number of Times Jim Halpert can be Flummoxed she's trying to go for? My bet is yes.
Wonderful as always.
Author's Response: Thank you! Good guessing, as usual. I am enjoying flummoxing Jim, as I imagine Pam would, so there may be a few more coming...

Jim’s on the money there, all roads do indeed lead to Anzac memorials (in any Australian city/town...) It made me smile to think that you’ve captured the essence of Sydney there.
I can’t wait to see what you figure out in order to resolve the Stamford divide...
Author's Response: Aw, I'm glad that my impression from Google was correct about that :). Thanks for reading, and I promise to get it explained somehow.

Ah, the way they two switched their conversation from intense and serious to silly and light is so endearing. And the whole 'lost in the city and don't care about it' thing is sweet.
I like this line: 'even that minor honesty with Jim was somehow a relief of the years and years of repressed feelings and unclear expressions.' Perhaps, I like the way Pam is free (kind of?) from things that hold her back at last. Perhaps, I just like them both happy :)
Author's Response: I like that too :) Glad you think this is delivering!
Date: April 03, 2020 07:20 am Title: Chapter 26: Lost
All caught up and I’m glad they’re taking their time! I love these innocent little interactions interspersed with more serious conversation. And I’m glad to see that they’re tackling the issue of Stamford without a lot of doom and gloom or skirting around it. Great as always, Comfect!
Author's Response: Thank you! I' so glad you caught up. Glad to have you with us.
Date: April 02, 2020 08:07 pm Title: Chapter 26: Lost
Yes filler, but cute filler. I love the idea that they got so lost in each other's eyes that they also got lost in the city. Great fun to be sure.
Author's Response: Thank you! Great fun is what I'm after after all.

Oh, I love that Pam is slightly more forgiving of Stamford knowing that it’s a promotion for Jim. That’s very sweet. They both really want the best for each other...
Author's Response: Thank you, and thanks for noticing that!

I love how they handled that situation!!! Keep it coming!
Author's Response: Thank you! More on the way!

1) This chapter ended.
Author's Response:
Things I appreciate:
1) This format

Well written to see Jim worried about everything there at the start. Also good to see him realize it's best to be honest with her. It may be hard at times, but it's usually worth the price.
Love Pam standing by him here. She's caring, supportive, and encouraging. Lovely to see her shine like that. Can't wait to see what kind of ram they'll pull from the thicket.
Author's Response: Thank you! I am enjoying writing this Pam, so it's good to hear your feedback on her.

Uh oh. Are they sending Dwight?
Another just in time for bedtime reading update... Though to be fair I pretty much read all day now.
Author's Response: I also write these before bed, so that seems like a non-coincidence. I hope you are enjoying! Thanks for the review.

I’m spending my entire work day staring at a screen at the moment, so I’m having trouble with coming home & then spending more time staring at a screen. My eyes, they burn. The real downside to this is that I’m falling behind on this wonderful story.
Their first/not first date was lovely. The mixed berries was a very nice touch.
It stands to reason that there needs to be a touch of angst, especially with Stamford looming over them. Using a Stamford hotel to prompt the conversation made me laugh - talk about a literal sign...
Author's Response: I'm sorry you're experiencing eye burnout! Thanks for spending the eye-time to read :). And I happened to be Google Street Viewing the street and there was the sign and I was like "I cannot let this pass unused." So yes, a very literal sign! Thanks for reading.

I don't like angst for the sake of angst, but this is an important one. I wonder how they sort things out and hope for better.
Oh, and that moment, when Pam noticed how crushed Jim was and how she reacted to it. She is so understanding, and it's melting my heart.
Thank you!
Author's Response: Plot angst it is! And soon to be over. I like understanding Pam, and I think she makes the story better. Thank you for the review!

They were having such an amazing day, until that hotel sign out a damper on them. They do have to discuss Stamford, though. Hope it goes smoothly
Author's Response: This is not angst!fic, so you can probably make some safe assumptions. Thanks for the review!

Not done reading the chapter yet, but that Biblical reference. Wow. Not sure I've ever read something quite like that. Heck of a way to describe it though. Made me grin. On with the rest of the chapter.
Okay, so yes there's still some stuff to work through. As much I love rides off into the sunset or happily ever after, the real world rarely works like that. Thus such things are unavoidable. However with everything they've set up thus far, hopefully they won't go to far down the angst trail.
Author's Response:
Heh. I like that moment in the Bible and so I work it into things whenever I can.
Thanks for the comment! I think it's important that they work through things even if we know they'll work through them.

This is just all sorts of adorable. Another chapter to just sit back, grin, and enjoy. So I did, and shall again. Sadly I'm out of jellybeans, but make no mistake, this chapter is very jellybean worthy.
Author's Response: Thank you! I really appreciate it. I will be interested to see what you think of the next little arc.
Date: March 30, 2020 08:41 pm Title: Chapter 23: Dinner
Keep the chapters coming!! I look forward to this every night. Wish I could leave you more jellybeans
Author's Response: I will do my best! Thank you so much for reading!
Date: March 30, 2020 07:19 pm Title: Chapter 22: Walking
I love seeing them work through this z just the right amount of pain, and Pam being brave enough to acknowledge that and soothe it with just the right amount of humor and love. Very sweet with a dusting of dorkiness... ;)
This was my favorite:
“Beesly…” he started in for a kiss and she stopped him with her three fingers across his mouth.
“So. Three dates. This will be our fourth date.” She removed the fingers and leaned up for the kiss.
Glad to know there's more to come!
Thanks for writing!
Author's Response: Thank you! I liked writing that, it's nice to hear you liked it too!
Date: March 30, 2020 08:25 am Title: Chapter 22: Walking
Oh, insistent Pam is something incredible! And it's nice that she can be honest with Jim and tell about her own thoughts about dates numbers 1 and 2.
Oh, and 'Campbell's Condensed Soup of Wonderfulness' is a fantastic comparison.
Can't wait to see the dinner :)
Author's Response: I hope you liked the dinner! Thanks :)
Date: March 30, 2020 06:55 am Title: Chapter 22: Walking
Great chapter. I wonder what their sleeping arrangements will be
Author's Response: We will get there. Although this won't become M, sorry. Thanks for the review!
