I liked this one a lot. It's extremely well-written and a great extended metaphor... and also seems like a metaphor that would very realistically occur to a bright, artistically-minded kid and stick with them, long after they probably know better. Really well done.

I read this once before - before I had registered and thought how beautifully written it was. Reading it again as I review for Dundies I once again am struck by the beauty and realness in it - how some threads sever and some change their hue from time to time (Roy/Angela) but the analogy of the blue to purple to red - for Jim just touched my heart so.
The whole thing was just gorgeous.
Jenna Bennett- as always the stories you create are true gifts.

This was absolutely perfect. I can absolutely see Pam picturing her relationships this way, and I loved the imagery that accompanied each description. Truly, this was lovely and beautiful. Wonderful job!
Author's Response: Thanks BT! I figured it kind of fit with the idea I have of Pam, so it’s nice to hear that you feel the same way.

Jenna! I wasn't ready for this! Such a beautiful and romantic surprise. The imagery in your stories is always incredible, and this is no exception. I love the inclusion of "the blue deepening into a vibrant plum."
Author's Response: Ava! I was so happy to see a review from you! Please review all the things! Thanks so much!

I read this at the end of my break at work today and spent the rest of my shift thinking about how beautiful this story is.
I love the imagery - the torn threads dangling from her fingers as they’re still very much a part of her! Man, that gets me thinking :)
Thank you for this :)
Author's Response: Thanks so much, Rachiiee! I’m so glad you came back to review!

This is so very Pam and wonderfully written. As an artist, her mind would absolutely see things this way.
Author's Response:
Thanks boredhswf! I’m glad you felt it fit for Pam :)

I really enjoyed this conceit and also the execution. Very appropriate to Pam's character and also to the idea you presented up front. Well done.
Author's Response: Thanks Comfect! It’s nice to hear you found it in character for Pam.

Bravo! This was an absolutely wonderful look into Pam's mind. I simply love how her colored threads progressed over the years. That her first thread was her true love thread and it all grew from there.
As artfully enigmatic as it was, you also grounded it in reality. Threads fade, change color, or even fray and break. Such is life.
Then to end things with a Casino Night fix-it story was just wonderful. How Jim starts out True Blue and then there at the end she knows he's at the other end of her Red Thread. Simply wonderful.
Author's Response: Thanks Warrior! I’m glad you found it grounded in reality. I was worried about it being a fair bit more fantasy-ish than anything I usually write, so it’s good to hear that it still kind of worked.

omg. This was so so so cute. I could totally see Pam assigning a color to everyone she meets, and I love the colors you made everyone be, they all 100% made sense. I loved this, it was adorable and fantastically written. Great job!
Author's Response: Thanks alyply! I feel like it’s something that Pam would do...

This was lovely, romantic and symbolic. I liked how you quickly established the premise of the threads and then showed us Pam's thinking around this.
Author's Response: Thanks Sprinkles!

I'm in a weird mood right now, so I was literally crying over this story while reading it. It's so heartwarming beautiful, and the way Pam's perception changes from romantic to practical and back again... it's so believable and painful (the practical part; it's like 'the loss of the innocence' trope). Okay, I'm sobbing again, but it's okay; I'm happy she recognized the red color pretty quick. Thank you for this story!
Also, the color scheme Pam gave to Angela is amazingly accurate. I hope she would see more soft blue that gray radiated from her...
Author's Response: Aww, I’m sorry for making you cry! I love this review so much though!
