Oh, Michael. How I adore you. I also love that this is from the perspective of older Michael, who is married with kids and Jim and Pam are in Austin now. I love that they still keep in touch and how much Michael still adores Pam and believes in her. I also loved your numbering of the things people don't know about her hahahahah it was great.
Author's Response: Thanks so you much! And yes haha, I though older Michael might be better to hear from than early Michael...

I think #5 might be my favorite here, because it tells you so much about the life Michael's Boulder receptionist is being forced to lead. But really this whole thing works, down to the fact that Michael can't keep the numbers straight. It's a good balance of Michael's doofiness and inappropriosity and lack of social and self-awareness with his really deeply-routed love for and admiration of Pam. You can see why Pam might run without shoes to say goodbye to this take on Michael.
Author's Response: Haha yes, I am fascinated by what Michael is currently up to in Boulder...and yeah, I thought Michael's later reflections on Pam might be better than e.g. his season 1 thoughts. The deep love and admiration for her is one of my favourite things about him though. Thanks so much for reviewing!

Okay, Michael might not be my favorite character, but THAT WAS SO CUTE! And, maybe, even beyond cuteness :) You wrote his affection so well, and the fact that he forgot that it should have been just three things (and that he used the different symbols for his list)... just lovely!
Thank you for writing, I enjoy your story so much!
Author's Response: Thank you so much, that's so great to hear! And yeah, Michael's affection for Pam is one of my favourite things on the show :) Thanks for reviewing!

Short simple, but very much Creed. He's such a great character when he gets screen time and this fits great.
Author's Response: Thanks so much!

Again, you made me laugh out loud with this one.
Kudos!
Author's Response: That is great to hear, thank you!

Yep. That's Creed. Poor guy. The 60s take their toll on everyone.
Author's Response: Hahaha, thanks!

I've been waiting for this one and you did not disappoint. " and apparently that’s why it’s ok for them to kiss in the office (and it’s not because it’s new company policy, or just something young people are doing now)." I can totally imagine Creed getting into trouble for trying to kiss someone and him blaming Jim and Pam lol. So good.
Author's Response: Haha thanks so much - I'm really glad you liked it :)

How did I miss this chapter? The Dwight and Pam friendship is my favorite friendship on the show and this chapter summarizes it SO well. Pretending not to care when really he cares about Pam a lot. Feels bad for making Pam upset when he meant to make Jim upset. Everything was so perfect and Dwight.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! That's so great to hear :) And yeah, Dwight and Pam is also definitely my favourite friendship.
Date: February 12, 2021 06:52 am Title: Creed
This could not be any more Creed! Bravo! Absolutely loved this!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! That's really lovely to hear :)
Date: February 12, 2021 06:50 am Title: Creed
Amazing. Hahahaha I was SO hoping Creed would get a chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you! And yeah haha, this was a fun one to write.
Date: February 11, 2021 11:38 am Title: Dwight
This is so perfectly Dwight. Not only that he has sub-sections of his observations, but that in his attempt to be kind of like Jim, he goes a bit overboard or misjudges the scene.
However there's also awkward sweetness in here that is the Dwight and Pam friendship which is always fun to see.
Author's Response:
Thank you! And yes haha, I definitely felt like he'd have sub-sections. And I do love his disastrous/way too far attempts to be like Jim...
Thanks so much for reviewing :)

Love all of your work! You are an amazing writer! I love Dwight and Pam's friendship so much! You really nailed Dwight's voice on this. Thank you so much for sharing can't wait for more.
Author's Response: Ah, thank you so much - that's so kind of you to say! I'm really glad you're enjoying it :) Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review, I really appreciate it!

You have SUCH a talent for capturing every character's voice, even the side characters. And you do it in the most subtle, perfect ways. It's so good! Haha
Author's Response: Thank you so much, that's so nice to hear! :)

You have a really good sense of these characters - this is very Dwightish, down to the way-too-mean prank, his sense of what a good compliment is, his attitude towards women and the odd ways his affection towards Angela and Pam manifests/is expressed.
I like that you show a little of Pam's growth here, and that you've continued to use these to give us a backstage view of canon. This was fun.
Author's Response: Thanks so much! And yes lol, I do think anything resembling a compliment from Dwight is actually high praise from him...

It's such a great chapter! I'm amazed by your ability to capture the voices and thoughts of characters so well. It feels like Dwight in flesh and blood, with his quirks and way of thinking.
Also, his prank on Pam - it's both cruel and silly, and I love it (even though it hurt her so much). And I'm happy that he put his friendship with Pam over his desire to irk Jim.
Can't wait to see what will be next!
Author's Response: Ah, thank you so much! That's so lovely to hear :) And yes haha, Dwight pranks are the worst...but I do love the Dwight/Pam friendship.
Date: February 11, 2021 04:24 am Title: Dwight
This is brilliant. It sounded exactly line Dwight and I loved that fact that he couldn't just stick to 3.
And yes, Pam and Dwight's friendships is one of the purest things in the show.
Author's Response: Thanks so much, that's so great to hear! And yeah, it is one of my favourite things on the show.
Date: February 11, 2021 03:21 am Title: Dwight
I so love how Dwight is utterly clueless! You've absolutely nailed his "Dwightness"here.
Author's Response: Haha, thank you so much!
Date: February 10, 2021 06:59 pm Title: Oscar
You know, it's not really all that often we get an Oscar-POV around here. You did a great job with it. Oscar is probably the most level-headed person at Dunder-Mifflin and that comes out here. Great observations on his part. Nice work.
Author's Response: Thank you! And yeah, I've never really done Oscar before so wasn't sure...so that's so great to hear, thanks :)
Date: February 10, 2021 10:06 am Title: Oscar
That last line is perfectly Oscar. *Actually*, this whole thing really is... the snobbishness, the arrogance, the condescension, how judgmental he is, tempered with a certain self-aware politeness, a unique perspective and some genuine affection for Pam. You nailed his voice.
Author's Response: Haha, thanks so much! I was a bit nervous about this one as I've never done Oscar before. He is actually one of my favourites though.
Date: February 10, 2021 08:05 am Title: Oscar
This was SO cute. I love how supportive Oscar is of Pam, even if he is still being realistic and a little blunt. And now I'm going to have to go rewatch the Dundies to look at Oscar's expression.
Author's Response: Thanks so much! Yeah, I always quite liked Oscar's interactions with Pam and Jim on the show. And haha, I think it's about 17 mins into the episode...
Date: February 10, 2021 04:52 am Title: Oscar
Very much on character, I must say.
Author's Response: Thanks very much! :)
Date: February 10, 2021 03:31 am Title: Oscar
I love these. Keep ‘em coming, please!
Author's Response: Thanks so much, that's so great to hear! :)
Date: February 10, 2021 02:36 am Title: Oscar
'For the record, Oscar thinks these lists are bit a trivial.' It's so, so Oscar.
I think you did a great job! I like his chapter a lot. Oscar is such a curious and underrated character, and you do justice to him here.
Oh, and the final line is awesome!
Author's Response: Thank you! Haha, I was a bit unsure on this one as I've not written Oscar before, so that's really great to hear :)
Date: February 09, 2021 10:54 am Title: Kevin
This chapter made me pee my pants laughing. I'm loving this story so far!
Author's Response: Haha, thank you! That's amazing to hear :)
Date: February 09, 2021 09:22 am Title: Kevin
Yup this is Kevin to a T. Not only getting it confused because unlike the title he absolutly knows those things about Pam, but because that's really the only thing he thinks about here.
Nice to have a fun counterpoint to the last chapter too. Looking forward to reading the other observations the other men around the office have.
Author's Response: Thank you! And lol, yep. Let's just say I don't think all of the men are going to be able to fully stick to the brief...
