The comparison to her previous dating life was an interesting tack to take. Didn't mind at all, since it really let us know how special this is to her. Though the curfew call from her mom and Jim cracking a joke about it was fun too. They really seem to be in a great place with each other. The kiss at the end was the cherry on top of everything.

So this is just delightful. I know I've said that word a lot in these reviews, but as you once told me, it's not a vocabulary test. Jim taking not just a passing interest but full fledged interest in the world of art with Pam really makes this one. How he's encouraging her and they're just so easy with each other here is wonderful to envision. Great fun to be sure.

Roy accidentally making Pam think he was interested in her art is just... so Roy. As is his adult-era idea of a date night. And the idea of Pam justifying Roy's rare attempts to treat her well as being "thought-adjacent" is a hell of a phrase.
I would like a whole fic about Pam's other blind date, please. Also, I am choosing to believe this was Clark in my head.
"Calling. With her voice. Like some kind of boomer." I'm in this sentence and I don't like it.

Ahh, this was so adorable. I really enjoyed the deep dive into Jim’s love for Cugino’s, and their entire conversation about the painting (and Jim enjoying how into it she gets) is just lovely. And the Marxist joke and the end and Jim giggling like a schoolgirl! I love the way you write their chemistry with each other. Also, this line:
‘God, he was a total goner for this woman. But then again, he’d been one since she’d first walked into the shop and opened her mouth.’
This is basically everything you’d want from an actual (angst-free) Jam first date 😍 I continue to be very sad that I've used up all my jellybeans.

The painting-inspired banter was perfect. Jim knowing what painting she was referring to and being interested in hearing the artist's perspective fits both canon!Jim and Marxist!Jim well, and the flirting around Pam's composition of their scene was adorable. And the use of an actual Everhart Museum painting is the verisimilitude I live for.

It’s a date!! I really enjoyed Pam actually continuing the conversation (after the rap on the counter 😍), and their inception chat was just lovely and dorky and very them. As was Jim saying she’s lovelier than a handbag. It’s so nice reading a happy Jam that can just enjoy having a crush on each other and starting to date, the giddiness here is very cute. I can’t wait for their first date!

Delightful as always. Really loved the line about the vampire trying to put on makeup. Especially with Dwight and Dwight's recent purchase. Just pure clever perfection there.
Jim and Pam remain great. Loved the inception banter and all the wonderfulness surrounding it. They are their delightful dorky selves and it's a joy to read. And their first date is to Cugino's! Nice way to add in some canon but with a re-imagined non angsty twist. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

There's just a lot of fun writing in this chapter. The vampire-doing-makeup image is funny and spot on and also strangely appropriate for Dwight, and Pam and Jim's Inception banter sounds just like them, and Pam accidentally getting SUPER corny and Jim loving it is ALSO very them and very adorable. Nice to see those crazy kids enjoying each other here!

Ah, I really like the little hint here of Katy actually being a pretty savvy saleswoman (also something that doesn't really get explored on the show, but: she does get Dwight to walk away a purse!) Speaking of, their little prank on Dwight is excellent (as is Jim squeezing her hand under the counter), and Dwight's reaction and the 'make room you idiots' is hilarious. This is such a joy to read!

I was always a bit disappointed that Pam seemed like she was on the brink of having an ally in Hot Girl, and then it got ruined by the guys - so I really like that you’ve actually given them a chance to maybe be friends here, it’s such a nice twist. Really liked this one. Without the specter of Jim being interested in Katy, Pam is free to make a friend. Loved that she is getting assertive enough to seek out an opportunity like that. Feels like Katy breathed a sigh of relief too when she realized that Pam was actually going to treat her like a person and not like just an object to ogle. Glad to see this one return.

You know, we hear a lot about the physical similarities of Pam and Katy, but there's some interesting material you've found here about the similarities in their goals too - that Katy is the sort of self-starter artisan figure that Pam would also like to be. More delightfulness. Their first kiss too! Which was sweet and cute. But look at Pam go. Pulling him down not once but twice for better kisses. And it seems that Pam is the first to ask for a date outside work. Yay! Warms my JAM loving heart.
And of course all the banter to go along with it in regards to his list. So much to love about this chapter and I am 100% here for it.
