Wow, you managed to squeeze all of the S2 longing into less than 500 words. Well done!

I stumbled across this absolutely gorgeous oneshot, and I'm just...stunned. First of all, my favorite image of Jim and Pam - favorite moment second to Casino Night - is at the end of "The Secret" when the doors close on them, and we see him stare at her, then she looks up at him, each just missing the other's gaze.
You capture the essence of that moment here, and then some. This was sweet and poignant and erotic and just spot on. Loved it.

You've captured the perfect Jim angst moment. But still, there's hope.

That was really good. His relationship with Pam was all about patience and waiting for something. Anything. I liked the ending.
"Maybe next time, she’ll lean a bit closer, let him feel her hand against his. Clasp his fingers in hers.
He waits."
Lovely piece!

Absolutely brilliant! Such a sense of sadness and longing. And you left just enough to the imagination!

Your description of that moment in the elevator is incredibly evocative - there's such a vivid sense of Jim's yearning there. She’ll say goodbye, chance another glance up at him, let her face show her emotions candidly for a split second, and he knows. Perfect non-ending.

I ached for Jim while reading this. You did a great job of conveying *want*.
