I love the subtlety of this, and the way their connection keeps them tied together even as they stretch apart.

This was such a beautiful, sweet and romantic happy ending. Weddings are such a great occasion for people to reaffirm their love, or reignite it, or just plain realize it. Loved this story so much!

Oh, I am convinced that Phyllis's wedding is going to happen on camera, and that's where it's going to happen for Jim and Pam. I could see this being the season finale. And you did a wonderful job of it. I really love Pam's "I don't want you to change." ... "Is it too late to tell you?" Lovely!

OM Freaking G! This was just the PERFECT ending. Your Jim and Pam here are SO sweet together! I love all the subtleties of their actions towards each other, this story felt so... gentle. I felt like Jim's love for Pam was so gentle while reading this story. I don't know if that's the right word, but just know that I LOVED this!
Author's Response: I definitely think that's a great way to describe Jim. He's being so careful and hesitant and gentle in this, because he's not sure how Pam feels. And vice versa. Thanks so much for the lovely comments!

Best line: "Oh, Pam," he breathes. "It's not—you know what, it doesn't matter. I'm not going to tell you who to hang out with."
I could TOTALLY imagine how Jim would say that.

I loved February. So many good things.

What a great story. I'm still holding out hope that the Bob Vance/Phyllis nuptuals are in fact a watershed for Pam and Jim...but not holding my breath, so thanks so much for this!
Author's Response: That would be nice, wouldn't it? I'm not even sure we'll get to see it on the show (Phyllis's wedding), but I hope so. Thanks for reading!

I'm in love with you and your story and I wish you'd decided to do 12 months. Because 12 chapters could make me die. <3
Author's Response: Wow, I hadn't even thought about doing 12 months. That would kind of rock. Thanks so much for the lovely reviews here and over at LJ.

This is exactly how is should/could happen.
and if it doesn't by February I'm just going to reread this story a million times.
Pam and Jim outside in the hall at the wedding was amazing. I could see her, her hands on her stomach all nervous and jittery. Excellent job with their voices as well.
Fantastic and just...sigh. :)
Author's Response: Thanks for the lovely review!

*sigh* You can't see it but I'm grinning like a fool and feel a bit giddy. I love fics that make me do that.
Thanks.
cheers.

Author's Response: I'm glad it made you happy. I like fics that do that too. Thanks for reading!

this fic makes me way too happy. which is a really good thing. so i'm not complaining in the least.
Author's Response: Yaay, I'm glad! Thanks for the comments!

This was perfect. It put such a lovely visual in my head of how Jim and Pam should get together. So, so good.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!

I read this earlier in your LJ, but didn't have time to comment at the time.
I loved this story! I love the last chapter, especially. This story is my favorite of yours, I think.
Author's Response: Aww, thank you. I had a really fun time writing it and when I was posting it and writing "fin" on there today, it made me sort of sad. I didn't want it to end.

Lovely, lovely story.
She only has to grab his hand once, but the way he catches her wrist almost makes her lose her balance again.
Squee.
This was a great line and made me inexplicably happy: "Ooooh, Big Tuna! I think you found your open waters."I also loved the shared smile over Pam admitting Jim was her date for the wedding. Good job!
Author's Response: Hee, I'm glad you liked Andy's line and them at the wedding. Thanks so much for your sweet reviews on this and the other parts!

"Instead, she watches the subtle smiles and touches Jim and Karen share and somehow remembers to breathe." - what a poignant line. I can't imagine how Pam gets through a day with out tripping over the broken pieces of her heart.
Author's Response: Oh, that makes me sad to think about. But I'm really proud of who she's become the past few months and I hope we'll see Fancy New Beesly do some things we don't even expect. Thanks so much for reading!

I can really feel the awkwardness and uncertainty and I love the little ways you have them reaching out to each other, slowly.

You've done a really great job of writing Pam's loneliness and frustration. And of course this line: "It's not—you know what, it doesn't matter. I'm not going to tell you who to hang out with." broke my heart.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! Thanks for reading!

I recognise the title of the fic, and the lyrics in this chapter as Death Cab for Cutie...right? This was a nice ending...it incorporated a semi-maybe-not-true spoiler some of us have been waiting for, and gave us the happy ending we always want when it comes to Ja. Great fic!
Author's Response: Yes, they are! And I certainly hope that Pam and Jim talk and become more friendly over the next few episodes, that would be lovely to see. Thanks so much for commenting!

Wow, the tension in this chapter is palpable. So good. This part gave me butterflies in the pit of my stomach:
"Do you think we'll ever be happy?"
His gaze meets hers, studying her face. "You're not happy?"
"I could be. With you." Her hands are shaking, but he reaches out, finds her hand, covering it with his. She shivers, remembering how something so simple can make her feel safe.
"I could be too."
"Then what are we doing? I want to be happy, Jim. I want to be happy," she repeats, hearing her own voice crack.
"I know," he murmurs. "I know." He tugs on her wrist and she steps towards him. She tucks herself into his chest, taking in deep, ragged breaths. His cheek rests against her temple and when he talks, she can feel the vibrations, the echo of his words in his chest. "I tried to change, but God, Pam…"
She looks up when he says her name like that. "I don't want you to change."
But really, the whole chapter was so so good. Jim saving Pam from Andy, the prank idea,... Oh, and the show is turning into Survivor: Scranton! Ha!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the other stuff in this chapter: Andy, the prank, as well as how they finally got together. I was a little worried it had too much other stuff in it, but I was trying to show how they were getting back to normal.

This is excellent so far! You've really got their dynamic down - keeping things light and cutesy to avoid the deeper stuff. My heart dropped into my stomach when he worked things out with Karen - I really thought they were over! Very realistic though - couples have fights, and it's not always the end of the world.

This is so lovely. The tentativeness in the steps they are taking combined to the ambiguity due to Jim's relationship with Karen. Intriguing. Can't wait to read more.
Author's Response: I'm really glad you like it so far! And thanks so much for always reading and reviewing!

Go, Fancy New Beesly!
You've written Pam nicely in character -- with some of her old tentativeness, but also with her new courage.
Author's Response: I love Pam. I always enjoyed her, but I think I've sympathized with her a lot more this season than Jim (although I love him too.) So I'm really glad you like this so far!
Date: December 15, 2006 10:11 pm Title: January
Ooh, love this so far! There's such a feeling of sadness from Pam that upsets me but it really works. I think that's exactly how she'd be feeling. You've got it down perfectly. And all her interactions with Jim are similarly just how I think they'd be. I guess what I'm trying to say is this is very realistic and well characterised! It's melancholy, but there's also a real sense of hope that you're getting across. I love it. I can't wait for more. Karen is never going to be anything to Jim the way Pam is... not that I don't like her or feel sorry for her, but that's just the way things go! Really looking forward to reading more of this. Fantastic work!
Author's Response: Wow, thank you so much! I hope you like the last part!

This is very promising. I can't wait to read about the wedding.
