How fucking dare he? ...God, Jim, don't stop.
How much more conflicted can Pam be? I so think angry Jim is sexy. WOW

He hadn't given up so easily; he hadn't let go and begun "kind of seeing someone."
Thank you for acknowledging this in Roy. We can call it stubbornness, or we can call it faithfulness. How you see Roy depends on what you call that persistence of his.
I also like how you don't let Pam off the hook for having sex with Roy. She should feel guilty and anxious; she's taken advantage of him (ooo! BeardedRoy -- can't really blame her), but at least now she's owning her actions.
And I can only imagine the incandescence that will ensue once Roy learns the truth about Jim. Oooo.

Ohh. Rage. Good fuel for an out of control Jim. You're building this well, harvesting those little, telling moments. I really like him getting angry in the vending room because Pam was giggling over the tension and he thought she was oblivious to his pain. Good moment there. Looking forward to more.

Wow, so screwed up. I love it.
Date: January 04, 2007 10:12 am Title: Chapter 1
This is really believable to me, especially with Pam feeling upset and lonely and (of course) Roy's new beard. You told Pam's perspective really well, especially the awkwardness of when he first got there and her mind was completely in another world. Keep it up!

Holy fuck, this was an amazing chapter. I am reading this at work and trying not to gasp because I'm like, wow, this is hot, but it's so wrong and I know she's going to regret it... wow. Crack, woman. We want more. More.
(sorry, had to resubmit, reviewed under the wrong chapter.) Also, I love the carpet metaphor, too. Nice.

Wow...I love the metaphor with the stain on the carpet.
And Roy. Sigh. It's so easy to fall back and surrender to someone you've been with for so long, someone who always protected you, loved you. So I can't be mad at Pam for this. And her reaction after the fact is so real...almost immediately thinking about Jim, the regret she feels after sleeping with Roy, etc.
I'm really loving this so far!

I can see that all the talk of OoC Pam & Jim has found it's way into your brain. And although I am a Pam/Jim fan, this isn't the end of the world -- in fact, it's pretty plausible that Pam would stumble and try to 'drown her sorrows' with Roy. (Love a 'WTF' from Roy, BTW)

"I can't." Heard that before.
Wow Pam was so messed up in this chapter. Maybe it will shake some sense into her
Date: January 04, 2007 06:41 am Title: Chapter 1
Wow Angry Jim is sure sexy. Can't wait to see the outcome of those last few paragraphs.

WOW! that was awesome. The second part, where you describe The merger from Jim's POV was amazingly revealing. I've always watched that episode wondering what was going on in his head, was he angry, was he hurt, was he using Karen... And this laid out all of his emotions on that day, and his struggle with how to approach Pam, so nicely. BRAVO. I've always shied away from Jim/Karen fic because I'm a happy resident of a town called Denial where the subject of the kajimbang is concerned but that was very real and relate-able scene. Looking forward to more!

Really, really good articulation of Jim's anger. Poor guy. He needs some relief, even if it comes in the form of Karen(I like her, but it's still haaard, man. oh, that sounded dirty)

(Turning down coffee? success; sweeping her into his arms when she leapt into his embrace, closing his eyes for a moment and inhaling the scent of her hair as she exclaimed, "It's really you!"? failure.) I loved this. It's so true. ANd the part about "I can't" not seeming so bad. Ouch. Looking forward to the rest!

"Suddenly 'I can't' didn't seem so bad."
Oof, that line got me! I love love love OoC Jim. Can't wait to read more of this.

Great start, Miss girl7. Rising to the challenge (okay, had to get at least one TWSS in here) at TWoP with alarming speed - and delivering the goods too. About time Jim got good and angry - and I'm not just saying that because he's sexy as hell that way. And that frustrating 'friends' exchange in the parking lot is the perfect place to begin this saga. Looking forward to seeing what happens with Pam...and to Karen packing her potato chips and looking for love elsewhere. Write quick!

Just seeing the words from that scene again make me want to scream at Pam, hug Jim and buy Karen a one way ticket to CT. (Because I like her - I'll spring for the train and won't make her take the bus.) ;)
Great start. Type faster. :)
Date: January 03, 2007 07:28 pm Title: Chapter 1
Yes. Because, really, how can Jim not be mad? I would be so incredibly frustrated and angry with Pam at this point if I were him. With her still trying to act as if nothing ever happened and her "we'll always be friends" slap in the face and her reluctance, her inability to just take a step forward and take initiative and do something, say something. And I think Jim is feeling bitter and wants her to hurt a little bit, because he's suffered so much and she still just expects him to be there to make her laugh and smile and-
Okay. Enough rambling on about that. What I'm saying is that, yes. I'm looking forward to the rest of this a lot. Angry, angsty, dark Jim is amazing. And I'm glad to see fic sprout from that face he makes after she says, "Good to have you back." So good.
Date: January 03, 2007 07:21 pm Title: Chapter 1
This is what really got to me: "We're friends; we'll always be friends."
Suddenly "I can't" didn't seem so bad.
I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes!
Date: January 03, 2007 07:06 pm Title: Chapter 1
Double-shots of angst all around, with a side of Grudge Sex.
This just shredded me: Suddenly "I can't" didn't seem so bad.
I need some Tums before I can go to bed. Wow.

Nice start. I really like that you started this at "The Merger." Wow. Angry!Jim. I'm intrigued....
Date: January 03, 2007 06:36 pm Title: Chapter 1
Oh, good lord, girl7...you're going to get me so sucked into this. Jim's pain of being rejected by Pam is very ostensible and clear in this chapter. His feeling of satisfaction of being able to come back and "blow her off" so to speak, is very real.
Suddenly "I can't" didn't seem so bad.
That is such a true statement. I can't wait to read more!

Ooh - an intriguing beginning! Angry Jim is very good[/Jim]!!
