Ohhh, what I would not give to hear Jim Halpert say, "Maybe evolving isn't all it's cracked up to be, you know?" on the show.  I would absolutely do a dance.

Another terrific chapter.  This is just such an incredibly smart concept - so suspenseful.

Oh, and Karen needs to get a life.  Seriously.  :o)

Author's Response:

Yes, he NEEDS to acknowledge on the show that he's attempts to change just weren't worth the heartache it all caused.  There is nothing wrong with old!happy!Jim.  And we need him now more than ever!!!

Whoa - something weird happened to my earlier review.  Anyway, as I was saying - I'm actually nervous about what's happening here - the kind of butterflies, nervous excitement...  This is a simply brilliant concept, Mox.  And I have so got to go read the next chapter.  Like, this instant.  Bravo!

Author's Response: Thanks so much - I have learned the proper use of cliffhangers from the masters (*wink*wink*)

Wow!  Is it safe to assume that the Sea Hags ridiculous actions will prompt Jim to grow a pair?  This story gets better and better!  And it was awesome to begin with :)

Author's Response: Well, it might be cliche, but we all know how we react when a loved one is hurt by someone else?  Well imagine how Jim is going to react to the idea that Karen might have deliberately mislead Pam and hurt her feelings in the process?  You don't mess with Jim's favourite receptionist!

I can't wait to see where this is going! This story is really different and creative. I love "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" and the line about the coffee spoons is my favorite, so I liked how you threw that in there. Nice job!

Author's Response: Oh great - anoter Prufrock afficianado!!  So glad you like the story!  Thanks for taking the time to read and review.  :-)

You evil, wondrous thing! This is positively addictive. ...he let the warmth of her response cushion him against the coming interaction with Karen. Nicely put. Yay for Jim not allowing himself to be manipulated; so sad for Pam; Karen - cease and desist, you! I'm in the palm of your hand, Moxie.

Author's Response: Am I wrong for getting a warm fuzzy feeling when someone calls me evil??  :-) Jim's still got a few things to work out, but happy times are not as far away as poor Pam thinks they are right now.  Keep reading!!  and thanks for your reviews and support!

Jeez, Karen!  Sheesh.  You have NO idea how impatiently I've waited for this update ALL DAY LONG, and you have not disappointed!  How long do I have to wait for the NEXT one?

Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed it, mcmuffins!!  Chapter 4 won't be too long a wait!!

What did I call her when you sent this to me?

Manipulative bitch and a half?

That sounds about right.

Now that you know the truth - go and get your girl Jimmy.  Sniff sniff.  She's so sad without you....

Love it.  Still.  Always.  More please. :)

Author's Response: Yes, I will agree that Karen knows how to be manipulative.  But can't you see she gets it from her dad?  Don't worry - she won't be around much longer...

Oh no she dih-ent! Bye-bye Karen. I love this story! and not only because I'm in it. I wish I had someone to spy on now. Ok.. that's probably not a good thing. Great chapter, Moxie.

Author's Response: Rayne, if I never needed someone to do spying for me, your name would be near the top of the list.  And I mean that in a good way, I think!  ;-)  Thanks for reviewing!!

Suspense!  I like it!  I love the bits in the chat room and hope to see more of those in the future ;) I also think this story is a bit too harsh on Karen... I don't see her as so malicious, even if she did try to take down Pam's art flier.  BUT you're still getting a 10/10 from me :D   Here's hoping for a new chapter  tomorrow!

Author's Response: Defintely more chat room to come - and more chat room of just WalkingDisaster and Squirrel_McPants.  I think Karen is feeling desperate, and that makes her seem harsher than she is.  I'll try not to make her go off in a body bag, okay?  :-)

Author's Response:

Thanks for the offer - but I promise I will write more free of charge.  I've already started the first few lines, so just hang in there! (and go shopping!!  Haven't you ever heard of green leafy vegetables??) ;-)

I was just waaaay too excited to read this: Yeah, he thought, things are going to be changing soon.

And Moxie, my dear, you are making it very difficult to wait patiently for updates.  We're in hiatus month, girl, do you wanna kill us?

But I do love some "Crazy!Karen who is about to get her manipulative ass dumped"!  That will make this chapter all better  ;o)

Author's Response: I prefer the model of deserate!Karen, although I can see how desperation would lead to crazy.  And yes, her time in Jimland is short.  I hope she enjoyed her last ride, because the rollercoaster has officially closed. ;-)

Author's Response: Giggling to yourself?  Have you become Kevin???  :D  Oh, Jim has trouble coming to him no matter what he does, at least in the short term.

I love the fact you can put in your fanfic exactly what I think is happening...Jim don't know what to do, Pam crushed and Karen don't have a clue of what's happening! BAD, BAD KAREN! :)

I can't barely wait for another chapter :)

WHOA! Presumptious Karen, even though I can't spell that word. I mean, seriously. Whoa!

Author's Response: The word looks close enough to me, and more importantly, I know exactly what you mean.  It's hard to imagine a laid back guy like Jim getting pushed to the edge, but I think Karen's the girl to do it.  Thanks for reading and reviewing (again!) !!

Wow!!!!  Evil, evil Karen!  This chapter was sooo good.  What will happen next???

(Shouldn't Karen have rubbed the ring finger of her left hand?  In the US, anyway, that's the one for engagement and/or wedding rings.)

Loving this story.  Poor Pam.  Evil Karen.  Angry Jim!

Author's Response: Yes, you are correct -it should be the left hand - thank for the catch!!  I shall change it!  Thanks for reading so closely!!!!

Do you know what I loved about your fanfic? It's Jim and Pam! Completely faithful! Jim always incredible hot even in his thoughts and Pam so cute and adorable... :)

Also, it's funny Jim thinks the nickname Mr. Wonderful is something ironic, because I'm pretty sure isn't! After all, he's wonderful :)

Please, update soon! :D

Author's Response: Thanks, Marcele - and I completely agree, Jim IS Mr. Wonderful - in all definitions that entails!  Thanks for reading and reviewing!!
