Adorable -- the closing line totally makes it. I'm not generally a fan of drabbles (I like a little -- or a lot -- of meat on my stories :-D) but I liked the way you captured Pam's panic and urgency in a few words. Nice!

Thiswassogood - I reallyenjoyedit!  Wow, it's not easy to write run-on words.  "I didn't say I can't." - sigh...

Author's Response:

I'm telling you, I'm such a punctuation freak that I had to stop myself from reaching for the space bar after every word - sometimes I'd be too late [because my typing rate's more Pam's-side than Jim's] and I'd have to erase everything and start over. :P I'm glad you see the pain in all of that.

And thank you!

happy sigh...that was so nice, and I agree with the others saying you need to write more

Author's Response:

Working on it, Geinnob. ;) Thanks for leaving me a review!

Fabulous. Lovely and poignant and the last line is better than an entire paragraph. I know from my one foray into writing precisely 100 words how hard it is...like putting a precise puzzle together. Beautifully done.

Author's Response:

Aw, thank you, Colette! As tough as it is, sometimes writing drabbles are more satisfying that full-fluff pieces...maybe it's because it's tough. hmm.

Thank you so much for leaving a review!

Grinning like a fool! Why don't you post more stories here? You must write more lovely endings! Thanks for the smile!

Author's Response:

I love the idea of making more people grin like fools, so - I guess I'm going to have to write more, now. *sigh* ;)

Thanks for reviewing!! :D

Bee-yoo-tee-ful! I admire people who can write drabbles just on principle. But this is something special. LOVE it. I love Pam's inner monologue. It's incredibly engaging.

Author's Response:

I always have admired them, too, because shutting up? Not one of the things I do best. ;) As you know.

It's nice to know this attempt's been well-received, and I love that you found it engaging despite its length [or lack thereof]. Thanks so much for taking the time to drop a review!

I'm pretty sure I already reviewed this on LJ, but I have to say again -- gorgeous.  The flow and intensity of this is stunning, and the lines mashed together just hit me straight in the gut.  This is really, really fabulous, and it's only 100 words!  Impressive. ;)  Wonderful job.

Author's Response: I'm very honoured that you found it worthy of two of your awesome reviews. :D Cutting down on words is not my strong point, and I'm glad it worked for you!! Thanks so much, as always!

Oh, simple and sweet. LOVE rain imagery. I'm a sucker for it - so, so angsty and romantic and appropriate. And the words running together, like her thoughts. Niiiice.

Of course, this little bit leaves me wanting a little bit more. :)

Author's Response:

Thank you, Kevin. :)

No, seriously: I love rain-imagery just as much as you seem to, and I love that you got what I was aiming for. And I have to admit part of the reason the words-running-together run together is to cut down word count, heh, but I left it like that even though I could've gotten rid of it because I liked the effect it gave.

I'm considering posting another drabble-attempt, but I may post it as a stand-alone, which means I may post it whenever. Heh.

Author's Response: And oh yeah, thank you for taking the time to respond. :D

We can only wish it would have been this easy!

Great job!

Author's Response: Wishful thinking, if you will. ;) Goodness knows that with the things we've been forced to see we need some of that.
