A lovely little look inside Pam's mind.

I really love the "5 things" stories - and yours was no exception.  Very nicely done, and of course, I loved #5. Your description of his "boy's apartment" is so cute - I love the Victoria's Secret catalog stuffed in the toilet paper holder!

Author's Response: Thank you so much!  The VS catalog -- and the whole description of his apartment -- is loosely based (and very exaggerated!) on the first time I visited my boyfriend's dorm -- he had me wait to use the bathroom until he'd taken down all the Playboy centerfolds his roommate had put up. :p

I like to hear about Pam and Roy's history together. It seems like somewhere along the line they stopped having "dates" and just started co-existing. Thanks so much for this. cheers. --Lex

Author's Response:

Thanks!  And I think you're right; they settled into a routine and just never got out of it.

Glad you liked it!

Oh, so many good things about this story.  I love seeing pieces of Pam and Roy's past, and how it's never really been wrong, just not right enough.  And they were kids, you know?

It's just grilled cheese and beer, and Jim's apartment is painfully boy (Pam accidentally sits on a PSP controller, hidden under a blanket; the remote control's in the microwave; there's no toilet paper in the bathroom but there is a Victoria's Secret catalog stuffed in the toilet paper holder)

I love so much that Jim's apartment is painfully boy, it's just so sweet and almost heartbreaking in a way and they way that Pam reacts to their first date is so amazingly written:  It's a good first date, the best Pam's ever been on, but she's not even thinking about that.

Lovely.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  And re Jim's apartment: I think Pam and Roy moved in together fairly soon after high school, and she just have so little experience with how boys live by themselves that she'd be a little shocked by the reality of it.

Glad you liked it!
