Cheese fries! You made me want cheese fries! Anything but talking about Pam not (?) wanting Jim. You got his attitude spot on from the ep and the next one if I remember correctly!

Loved it. It was perfect. I especially liked the dialogue. It all seemed very natural and fitting for who the characters were. And I loved Jane. I want her to be my best friend. :)

Did I not read this yet? Craziness. Oh well, I guess I didn't since I didn't review, and I don't remember it... I just really thought I started this, and then bookmarked it for the second/third chapter. But apparently, nope. Didn't even start. Now to rectify this grave mistake!
And I love how you already mention that the guys don't sound like girls (yes, I am only readin the chapter notes still). Because, yeah, I tend to write guys girlish. And, so do most people. Except for those writers who can actually write them well. And so, I am glad that, even if it is with xoxoxo's help, you managed to make them do that.
I think Jim would be a fantastic story teller, esp since he can do all sorts of voices and stuff (I just watched Drug Testing today, so the impressions are really in my head).
"That guy is…..unexpected and……odd" Yep. Dwight is that and so much more!
I did really think that they sounded very guy like. Very good job.

Oh, and on a non story note, did you/do you go to UNC? I applied, and um, didn't get in. Haha. I'm too good for them. Yep. That is what I will keep telling myself... even though every once in a while I still do wonder how life would have been different if I got in....

Author's Response:

YEA!  I'm so glad you read it and reviewed.  I sort of look for your reviews and when you hadn't I was a little worried that this one sucked.  I'm happy that they sounded like guys, the first round had a statement that they talked on the phone about Pam and that's where xoxoxo had to remind me that guys don't really do that.....

I did go to UNC, actually I grew up in Chapel Hill born and raised.  so I probably bleed light blue.  But if it makes you feel better, I didn't get into law school there, thus the relocation to Kentucky where I met Mr. UNC.  :-)

YAY!!  Really wonderful job on this Ms. uncgirl. And all traces of girliness have been banished. ;)  I'm so sorry to be a slacker - but I'll take a look at the other chapters you sent sometime today I promise!!

Author's Response: Thank you as always for your help and support!  hope your meeting went well!

They definitely need some cheese fries.  As I understand it, it's the only way men can talk about their feelings.

Author's Response: Cheese fries or wings.  That's the drill I think.  :-)  Thanks for the review!

This is great! I love how they went to Chili's -- a Pam free zone. Hee!

Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing!  I'm happy you liked it.

Well, I'm a big fan, so what I liked was pretty much everthing and what I didn't like is that Chapter 2 isn't up yet.  For my tastes you manage to have substance and realism without laying on a massive layer of angst and melodrama.  The dialogue between the male friends is nicely done, especially given that you ain't a male.

Author's Response: Shucks, thanks loon!  Back at you on the fan front.  Work has been crazy so I haven't had a chance to pick up the update to 3rd art show, but I can't wait to read!  I'm glad to hear that the male voices sounded right.  I will say that I had help from xoxoxo, in the first version they were acting like women.  Happily I got it right the second time.  Thanks for the support and the review!

Duuuuuuuuuuude, this is even better than when I read it the first time!

Okay, this  “Seriously?  That guy is…..unexpected and……odd.” made me guffaw. That's right. GUFFAW.

And this
“Like maybe invite you to coffee or something.”

I was like YES! Right on Mark! Don't let him ignore that little tidbit!

Seriously, I think that might be what bugs me the most about this. I just want to take Jim and shake him and say, "She asked you out, you moron! What more do you need? And did you SEE her at Phyllis's wedding, staring at you and Karen while you danced? Ugh!"

But this is much better. You just have Mark set him straight. And woo freaking hoo for already having several chapters written! Seriously, your end note made me grin like a fool.

Author's Response:

Isn't there an epilogue coming on T and C or did I dream that?  Totally in withdrawal!

Thank you so much for all the support.  I thought it was better and I'm glad to hear you agree.  Yeah I mean if only I could be cast for a guest role, i would totally ad lib a scene with WHAT KIND OF SIGN DO YOU NEED JIM?  DON'T YOU KNOW HER AT ALL!

Yes, Yes Mark's a smart ass, but that's clearly why I love him.

I liked this a lot! I love hearing guys talk and its very cool seeing Mark's perspective. I loved the "I vaguely recall a Pam" and "it wouldn't be unheard of for someone in that office to hide their true feelings". And finally Mark gets blunt with Jim. God, someone needs to!

And you took me down memory lane with 10¢ wings at BW-3s...my husband swears they were never 10¢ but I distinctly remember that, back in college. And they don't even  go by BW-3 anymore! All snooty with the "Buffalo Wild Wings" name these days... *sobs*

More please!

Author's Response:

Tell your husband there is so 10 cent wing night!!!  Or there was.  I've got your back on that, and frankly 10 pounds on my hips that prove the existance of wings.....

Yes, I think guy talk is so fun, I'm glad to know that enjoyed it too.  I wasn't sure if it rang true, but I'm glad to here that it did.  thanks for the review, it means alot.

I just loved this.  I love the Jane character, and how Mark reacts to Pam being brought up.  I love how Mark tries to talk sense into Jim, but also is trying not to alienate Jim.

I also like how Mark is perfectly willing to talk about Pam.  I've seen some stories where Mark is so sick of talking about her that he doesn't.  Those stories were also good, but I like this kind of Mark better!!  (Mark's kinda cute, if I recall correctly!)

Best lines: "Mark had known Jim a long time, and he knew a rebound gone wrong when he saw it."; "“Yep, you are, and you seem very happy about it.”  Mark couldn’t help the sarcasm that dripped from every word."

I can't say there's anything I don't like.  Glad to know there's more coming soon-ish.

Unrelated topic, have you done anything on that poker game story idea?  The explicit rating one is basically written in my head, so I'm thinking... collaboration?  Unless you've already run with that or have dropped it.  Let me know via email.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the great review Kev!  Of course Mark is cute, don't the cute ones flock together?  Yeah I can't really see Mark being too jerky with Jim, although there is nothing wrong with that interpretation  ;-)  .  But in my minds eye Jim has been weird and different with everyone, just like he is in the office.   So I figure someone has to say something, if it can't be me. why not Mark?

I will be emailing you on the other topic :-)
