Everything strewn about is kinda what my apartment looks like right now. This week has been so busy and stressful, that its just, piles on the floor. Which is why I am going to try to have willpower, and stop reading fic once I am done with this one, and maybe clean it up...
I think you were good with explaining how Jim was angry. Because as much as I wish the conversation had gone the way Jim wanted it to, I do think he would be angry (dammit, why is my mind allowing all these excuses for these two to not just be happy together!? and that was a horribly formed sentence).
And then again, I can agree with Jane/you.... can you tell my opinions are very easily influenced by whatever I read in like, the past two seconds.
I think its been a weekend since you posted this, and I don't see an update lady!!! so get cracking.

(Although, if you think that is bad, I am spending my Saturday teaching 34 eleven year olds... guess what I am teaching them. how to be a babysitter. now, honestly, i could go on an on about this. but the odd thing is, that i actually enjoy kids. i mean, i know it is like free birth control babysitting them, but seriously, i can go home after spending like 8 hours with little demon kids, and i still want some of my own. and i enjoy it, enough to keep coming back. except for those demon kids, because they never hear the word no. so, i can go on a whole lecture about that. but honestly, this is long enough. and i am quite sure you don't want me to type up ten years of experiences with kids in this review.)

I'm working on it, I'm working on it :-).

Well I do think that any mention of Roy would cause Jim to be mad, but I think (sadly) I'm pretty mad at him about the whole thing.  So I(Jane) let him have it, and I think it was therapeudic.  Glad to know that your teaching the future babysitters of America to be responsible, but I will say that would probably wear me out.  I'm really kidding that the nieces make me want to be sterilized, but I can say that for sure I need a little more time.  :-)

I think this is such a realisic take on Jim and what should eventually motivate him to stop being an ass.  He not only loves Pam he likes her, and both of those feelings, along with his general decency, must be at war with the anger and self absorption that come from being hurt.  Being called out by people in his life on being an ass would push past that self absorption enough for good Jim to triumph over hurt Jim.

Sorry...I suppose I'm using my review as a platform for my own ideas, but I wanted to explain why the story rings so true to me.  I also like that you capture Jim's reluctance to talk about this stuff; he's a pretty private guy and, as much as he needs to talk about it, you're on the mark in having him do so rather unwillingly.

Enjoy your nieces...three year old and one year old is a high maintenance combination, so I'll excuse you if I have to wait for the next chapter, but I am definitely looking forward to it.

Author's Response:

High Maintenance, you aren't kidding!  I'm looking into whether my insurance pays for sterilization now.  j/k but definitely need to wait a little while longer.  I'm going to try to have an update up this weekend.  My husband has a bachelor party to go to, so I'll time to sit and veg with JAM a little, hopefully something good will come of that.

Thank you so much for the review and encouragement.  I'm very happy to hear that the male characters are ringing at all true.  This is something that I am struggling with and I am above all trying for this to be a little more real.  Thanks again, and I hope w we hear more from you in the near future in the form of a lovely new chapter/story!

One minor thing - you mean he has errands to take care of, not errors.  Unless he's going to take care of the error that he should let Pam apologize and he should listen to her!

I'm glad Jane has put some ideas into his head anyway.  Good ones!  Now he can mull those over a bit and get something right!  I'm sure Jim has never thought about Pam's probably lack of people to talk to.  (Tonight's episode looked like they are at least being friendly and not weird, so that's cool.)

Have fun with the nieces.  You can make little notes on all your writing projects...

Author's Response:

As many times as I proof I always miss something!  A bag of watermelon jelly beans to you (my fave) - hope you like them!!!   ;-)

<> Kev, I'm a series idiot and I've lost your email, can you send me a reply to my hotmail.... I have some ideas!

I love Jane, with her "I'm scrappy" and her "She keeps not choosing you?"  She's fun, she's got a good sense of humor, and she's uber-perceptive.  I think I want to be her BFF.  ;)

Author's Response: Hee Hee Yes I think Jim needs a Jane in his life.... don't we all?  Yes I think I love her too!   Thanks for the review, hopefully I can update soon......
