Ha - Jane's message was so perfect. I thought she'd come in and say something in person to Pam, but the phone message was ideal.
And I really liked how Pam openend up about how she knew Roy wasn't right for her, showing a parallel between her and Jim's relationships. So Jim didn't feel like such a jerk about the Karen thing.
I can't wait to see what happens when they get together for movies, if you're interested in continuing!

thanks for the review! I hadn't really thought that their relationships were similar until I wrote this chapter and then it sort of clicked for me. Of course Pam would understand why Jim stayed with Karen, after all she went back to Roy for the same reason. I happily have no choice but continue, this story has sort of taken up residence; and i have another chapter just about ready to post - which I hope you will like. And really I can't let go of Jane yet. :-) A romantic at heart I have to continue to at least show their date.

As if this fact weren't already well established...I LOVE JANE--she's a crafty little bugger and I love it. So glad that they're spending time together now, can't wait for their Friday date!

Gah! So wonderfully wonderful. Let them be pathetic together. God knows I need someone to be pathetic with (hum, lets see, I will get a boyfriend and we will read fanfic and then I will punch him and tell him he needs to become Jim. Sounds great!!!)

Hooray for movie night with Jim & Pam!!! And I'm pretty sure Pan's Labyrinth will make them take the leap. If ever there's a movie that makes you appreciate your own life, it's that one! :) (Awesome movie, by the way.)
Author's Response: It is a terrific movie. I am really loved writing them just talking and being there for each other, probably because I've missed it this season. Thanks for the review. BTW, you have very cool websites!

I would totally love it if Jane came waltzing in next season. Actually - scratch that. I love her in the story - but I'm glad Jim and Pam got with the program without her on the show. Keep writing missy. I can't wait to see what you have in store next!

I really enjoyed this. Jane provided the opening, and Pam went for it. This is such a nice chapter of them working toward each other.
The 3 paragraphs where they're driving to the restaurant and describing the restaurant are my favorites, just because I can picture everything.
This line is great: "For the sake of his sanity, he decided not to analyze it and not try so hard to label their relationship." Very difficult to do, and Pam's doing the same thing.
I definitely enjoyed it and look forward to more!

Thank you Kev as always for the awesome support. I'm enjoying writing this because it is so gentle and calm, I've missed seeing why Pam and Jim are friends to start with! Thanks and I hope to post more really soon. But so far it is hard to finish the next chapter.
