Yes Pam, Jim In Jeans = one of the hottest things imaginable!!! Gah, my brain just melts with the thought of it!
Even though this chapter had a bit more of a sad undercurrent talking about what it would be if Jim didn't return, he did return, and so, yes. Still happy.
Author's Response: Hm... is it wrong to be so happy about fictional characters? I think that all depends. It would be very, very wrong to be happy about Packer and Meredith hooking up, but Jim and Pam? No way.

Author's Response: Thank you. That's such a nice compliment. I've always wanted to write something really beautiful, and this idea of Pam lying in bed, thinking about everything was just such a beautiful moment to me.

I love reading Pam's thoughts and memories like this. And I love that they kept they first date casual. Seems very them. And her saying his name and "I love you" over and over to herself...gave me happy chills.

Author's Response: I know! Next season is going to be fantastic! I really hope we get to see some of this kind of stuff, even though I realize it's called The Office, not The Jim and Pam Love Story, but hey, if we don't get enough of it on TV, there's always fanfiction, right?

Again, there are so many great lines and wonderful images here, but this line: "she wanted to scrape at her skin a bit, rid herself of the grimy build-up that was the past and just start over fresh." was just fantastic. Also, your exploration of Pam's learning to prank Dwight by herself got me to thinking about some of the early episodes in season 3 where some people were complaining that Pam seemed out of character. And I kept thinking "of COURSE she's out of character! That's the whole point!!" The Pam that we saw playing with Dwight's new regime in The Job had been practicing for a long time to get to that point. And while it wasn't the same as when she was with Jim, it was every bit the indication that she was earning the title of "Fancy New Beesly."
So there's a little bit more rambling from me. This is just fantastic, and I look forward to more. You've just made my favorite author list. :)

Oh, I LOVE IT. I'm so, so, so, SO psyched about Jim and Pam now, like -- seriously. This is huge fancy new Beesly and she really went all out and it really paid off. And I remember my first date with Mr. GF and how it was kind of awkward and weird but giddy and happy and just ... AHHHHH, I love it. Please write more, I love this new medium of creativity that's sparking everyone because it's really real now!!
BTW: I liked the little bits of Pam remembering and thinking about what happened... I think the format works okay for me.

Oh, and I'm so glad you liked the format, and that you didn't point out any mistakes, because I had THE WORST time with verb tenses in this one. Drove me up the wall.
