Aw, this was incredibly sweet. And this line: "I kissed him once, then he kissed me, then, thank god, we finally got around to kissing each other." was adorable, made me smile, and felt like something out of an old time classic story/movie :)

Author's Response: Thanks Semby! I feel like their love story is a little bit old fashioned and I love that about them!

Aww.  Lovely!!  I love 'kissed her silly on her couch'!  But... which part of Pam is her 'silly'? (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

I look forward to more.

Author's Response: You're too funny! And you can make the "silly" be anything you like. Just keep it in your head. Or at least use your indoor voice! Thanks for your awesome reviews!

I agree with Pam.  'More please'!

Author's Response: Hee! You got it. Both of you!

Sigh.  So happy.  And now I have to go to work, but even that doesn't seem so bad now.  You're the best.

Author's Response: Wow. That's just the best compliment - making going to work seem better? I win! Thanks so much, invis!

yay!  I can totally believe dips into all those unpleasant feelings regarding Pantsuit Queen.  But good for Pam for not dwelling on it, and on realizing they both are slightly wounded from their time apart.

This is definitely one of my favourite first date stories so far! :-)

Author's Response:

Aw, thanks! You're making my day over here. There definitely will be some hurt feelings and awkwardness but honest new Pam will get over it with love therapy from Dr. Halpert. You're the best, Ms. Moxie!

"velvet gravel?" phyllis is a genius. or i guess you're a genius. either way, that's the perfect way to describe that voice. *sigh* this is off to a great start. i love them sneaking out of the office and her being so excited that she runs downstairs to meet him. how sweet :)

Author's Response: Thanks so much! Yeah, that Phyllis is a genius. It was nice of her to have a wedding so they could have another misunderstanding that led eventually to them going on a date. At least, I think that was her plan!

Mmm.. More, please!!

And this?

"What can I say? That Bobby Fenton was dreamy. And he really got around."

Heeeee!!!

Author's Response: More on the way. Lots more. In fact, this date may just go on forever! Thanks so much for reviewing!

Aw, sweet, earnest, smooching Jim...my favorite kind. (And glad to see my radar is functioning.) Love the Bobby Fenton exchange...very Jim - that nut! This is just so sweet and touching, without being the slightest bit cloying. His explanation of his day - and what he thought when he saw the medal/note, is just as I imagined it.  And your last line is PERFECT.

Now, listen here, Missy...do they really need to cut short the sexy couch time to go eat (what are they, gluttons?) And don't think I didn't notice how you slipped in the word grinding...little subliminal coming-attraction there? Can't fool me...what with the uncanny radar and all ;-)

Author's Response:

Did I say grinding? Oh dear! Must be some sort of subconscious thing! I ain't sayin' nothin' about what's coming (DOH!). God, when you're in love the whole world is just one big TWSS, isn't it?

Yes, the Jim hate is over! Now I remember what I loved about him and rest assured, so will Pam. Food will be consumed for stamina purposes, but don't worry - I won't interrupt sexy couch time any longer than necessary. Colette has spoken and I shall heed her words!

Ah, re-inventing the iconic elevator scene. And spot-on saucy banter (go FNB!) And you managed to get the 'velvet gravel' in, you naughty girl. Love their dyanamic here - just the right balance of funny and nervous, yet serious about each other. And I can't wait to read the second chapter, where I think I detect some lip lockage on the horizon...

Author's Response:

Yes, the elevator. Been done to death but now that they don't have to be all coy, how much fun is that? The velvet gravel is too sexy not to be there. And what else? Oh yeah...it's almost as though you have a radar for lip lockage. Well, then, go on and read it! You know you want to!

Thanks for all you do!

They're never going to make it to dinner, are they?  And what about those poor, thirsty lilies!!!

Think about the flowers, woman!!!

Very nice.  And I do mean VERRRY.  :-)

Author's Response:

Damn! She forgot all about the flowers! What with the kissy face and the sexy couch time... But I think all in all, Pam has her priorities straight and they'll get to dinner because they'll need to keep up their stamina. Thanks Moxie!

You are right - there really can never be enough first date stories. I have read dozens, but they still make me feel so warm and fuzzy inside! Yours especially. The part where Pam skipped out to Jim's car was adorable. Keep it coming!

Author's Response: Thanks so much! And I love the idea of them on a date so much I might make it last all summer! TWSS...

'velvet gravel' YES!!!!

"invite me in" just became the sexiest phase ever!  Well at least for today.  You are right -- there cannot be enough FDF.

Author's Response:

"Invite me in" has that double meaning as well! Huh. Maybe later!

Thanks lisahoo!

Nice work. It felt so real between them, I loved it. Great banter.

Author's Response: Thanks! I love the banter. It's sexy and fun and I like speculating on how it will be when they're "together"!

Oooh!  What a tease, just leaving us there!!  I'm all excited for more!

You better be taking the slow train to Philly to get this written faster!!!

Author's Response: Sorry! I'm typing as fast as I can and unfortunately, you know how slow that is. Keep 'em wanting more is my motto! But I think that might not be FNB's motto so you (and Jim) are in luck. Hang in there! ;-)

I love it. Banter, Bobby Darin, fleeing from Michael. It's all good!

And yay for FNB's blatant innuendo! But I think my favorite part was Pam realizing that it was ok to openly look at him -- for the first time in ages. *sigh*

More, please!

Author's Response: Aw, thanks! It's been a tough year - I missed the banter and I just want to have them revel in the happiness. And have Pam undress Jim with her eyes. That'll work too! ;-)

This is absolutely lovely!  Their banter is really wonderful and very "them", I think!

I know in some of the fics, the date starts right from work, but I like this so much better.  They'd both probably want to grab a shower and start all fresh.  (It sounds like Pam may want to shave her legs before the date...)

I look forward to the rest of the date.  Question:  Will this date actually include any time OUT of her apartment?  (I'm fine with either answer.)

Author's Response:

Starting all fresh - that's what it's all about. And bwah! Yes, I assume Pam would want to shave, you know, just in case...  I don't think it's revealing too much to say that there might be an actual date portion of the evening which may take place outside of Pam's apartment! Thanks for your lovely - and speedy - review!
