Uh oh, now I'm nervous.  That sneaky Karen.  I hope she doesn't try to compromise our boy.  I know Jim wouldn't cheat, but she could make him look bad.

Looking foward to more....peeking through fingers over eyes.

Author's Response:

She may do some conniving things...she IS Karen, after all (or at least my extremely evil AU version of Karen). :)

More is on it's way soon!!

Ooooo!  That Karen!

I can hardly wait to see what will happen in London town.

Author's Response: Haha, to be honest, I can't wait to see what happens either! :) I have the rough outline, but who knows how things will actually go down!!

Poor Pam... and Jim. Oddley, I see my parents in this. My dad was always traveling and my mom never really liked it until... my dad got a better postion and starting taking me mom everywhere... they have been all over Europe. Random fact for you!!! Back to the story. I don't like Karen.... she needs to keep her paws to herself. Long live JAM! :) Oh, write write write!

Heather

Author's Response:

I'm kind of glad you said that! (Although that must not have been a whole lot of fun as a kid) But I like that I'm able to -- hopefully -- convey a sense of realism here. :)

Karen does need to keep her hands to herself...I think she will...for the most part.

Currently writing!!!

I liked the sandwich options... nice touch!!!  **sigh** stupid company and their trips.  :(

Author's Response:

Hee! Thank you! :)

Stupid trips, yes, but I won't lie, I would love to be in Jim's position. If only I could travel that much. :)

WRITE like the wind, IKTMIT!!!  (That evil Karen, is she going to slip Jim some rufies?)

Author's Response:

"is she going to slip Jim some rufies?"
HAHA! Wasn't planning on it, though that would definitely make that chapter a little more MA if it did happen!! Rufies aren't quite in the plan for the next chapter though...hope that isn't too disappointing. ;)

Aw, it's good to see them getting some quality time in, even if things did go downhill for them at the end. I can't wait to read what happens in London - like Pam, I trust Jim, but I know Karen's up to something.

Great chapter!

Author's Response:

I know! I feel so bad for them! (And I'm writing it!!) I wanted them to have a fairly realistic sort of marriage, but I wasn't expecting to write this much angst (or an emotion fairly close to angst).

Karen is a do-no-gooder (haha, totally just made that up). I'll kind of be sad when I decide her scheming days are over.

Thanks for reading (and the response)!!

I love how neither of them know where the basket is from.  It's such a great little quirky detail.  Oreo cookies are pretty amazing even without milk too.  Isn't it funny how you can find things in your house that you don't even remember having gotten (like picnic baskets)?  So weird...

Oh Jim, watch out for that Karen, shes' a feisty one!  I can't wait to see what happens in London (if anything).

Author's Response:

I like to secretly think that Jim has a secret, torrid love for picnics. :) Haha! Or something like that. And consequently I like to think that Jim is the one who bought the picnic basket, heehee.

Oh, Karen is a feisty one. ;) Though to be fair, the big event in the next chapter probably won't be anything that happens in London...I don't think.

Thanks for your response!!
