That was lovely and wistful and beautiful and heartbreaking.  Oh, Jim.

What I thought was interesting is that Jim was essentially learning how to be the perfect boyfriend for Pam from her comments about Roy.  Not that he wouldn't have wanted to do those things for her anyway, but being on the outside gives him the opportunity to see just how important they would be to her.

Let's hope he eventually gets to learn everything about Pam.  Jim (and Pam) deserves some happiness.

Author's Response: Glad you liked it. And yeah, I think the Roy factor helps bring Jim's thoughts and frustrations about Pam to the surface -  they're just instinctively on such different wavelenghts re: their  concepts of her, and how to love her.

I'm speechless... that was so sad and beautiful.

Author's Response: Thanks. So nice to hear that.

He’d work super hard and become the world’s freaking leading paper salesman, just to earn enough so she could quit her job and be a full time artist. And then he’d frame her work and hang it everywhere.

This?  Brought tears to my eyes.  Aw Jim.

Author's Response:

Glad I could make you could feel his pain (I think.) Someone please give this guy a break next season.

I was aching for Jim at the end of this. So heartwrenching...but at the same time - Pam doesn't know what she's missing!

Author's Response: Ain't it the truth? Let's hope she figures it out this season.

This was heartbreakingly beautiful - especially loved this line "He tries to stay distant or he gets too close; either way he loses."

Author's Response:

Thanks...so kind.

You capture the sense of longing so well.

Author's Response:

Thanks! It helps that JK captures Jim's longing so well...
